    Cons -

    • There was a musty smell in the corridor leading to my room. I have reported it to the hotel and I am sure they are dealing with the situation.
    • The rooms have doesn’t have enough closet space and no chest of drawers for clothes. Suitcases impeded even the room service carts.

Beautifully restored and maintained from the 1930s, and wonderfully operated by the Raffles team with impeccable service. They anticipated our needs, and went above and beyond. They also made an effort to know all our names, from the doormen to the waiters at breakfast.

Nothing at all - had read reviews that the rooms are small, but it was good and reasonable for a historic property

A beautiful hotel with the service & facilities you would expect from Raffles. We loved the Elephant Bar cocktails & bar menu as it was more relaxed than formal dining. Nice area with plenty of restaurants & easy walk to pub street too.

Champagne breakfast was perfect! Eggs Benedict were the best we've ever had!

The dinner show Saturday evening was so so... the performances were okay but the food wasn't anything special, plus the venue was a bit too warm. There were also some language barriers like at the dinner show when we thought the champagne was complimentary and it wasn't.

Lovely hotel in a great location to the temples. Also, away from the crazy crowded night life. The breakfast is divine- the pool is lovely and the service by the staff was fantastic. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in town. The price of the hotel is very high as are the food and drinks. We only had one dinner there and it was $108.00 US for a hamburger, chicken dish and 2 slings, also spring roll starter. This is really high for the area. The add VAT and service charge totaling 24%. You get what u pay for in accommodations I would eat elsewhere for a long stay. The breakfast is worth it if u plan to tour all day long!

The service of all the staff were absolutely outstanding. The lemongrass oil burnt thorough out the hotel was great for me to prevent the mosquito bites. We really loved the amazing breakfast every day, the breakfast boxes prepared for the sunrise tour and the nice touch of the turn down service every night. The hotel programs including lotus folding were lovely.

The bathrooms were all on the smaller side given consideration the building is 92 years old. One of the rooms’s basin and shower were blocked during the first 2 nights but the hotel staff changed us to a new room and turned out to be great.

The location. The pool. The restaurants and the bar.

Rooms are quite old. Especially the bathroom. I understand the charm of it but when we went there were some issues of leaking and the toilets were not worling. The size is also small overall whether it is the room or the bathroom.

The service was exceptional from all the staff....very friendly and welcoming. Loved the pool and all the external areas. Breakfast was superb!

The only disappointment was 1932 restaurant...the food was disappointing. Not very hot and was better at other traditional restaurants we tried.

It is a quality hotel in a good location

    1) Too many guests for size of lounges etc at times there was no seats available in early evening to sit2) breakfast room was too crowded very small tables close together so impossible to chat privately or have relaxing breakfast3) bedroom very small with hotel items taking up to much space - shower so small it was difficult to shower and not get hair wet, impossible to bed over without pushing shower door open and water flooded bathroom floor all the time 4) really strange room was for couple but always set up for 1 person - eg fruit at night was for one person, 1 small welcome macaron and 1 chocolate, 1 coffee cup,1 tea cup etc....Hotel cannot be this standard with so little space. Example of service - at this level of hotel I would expect a door man to always greet you and open the door on arrival / exit. 50% of time - small detail but what is expected at this level

Everything was just perfect !!!! I like the attention to detail in so many respects and fantastic pianist who added the Finnish touches to our memorable stay at Raffles . Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality

    Everything was perfect ?

This is probably the favourite hotel I have ever stayed in. It was unbelievably stunning. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The room was stunning, we were very comfortable. The pool was amazing. We really enjoyed the food, the buffet breakfast had so many options.

    10cynthiaPosted on: 2-2-2025

Excellent buffet breakfast, huge pool in lovely setting, peaceful setting, close to temples, shopping and museums

Beautiful building, grounds particularly the pool. Excellent customer service.

Good but static menu for dinner which was limiting if eating there many times.

Breakfast was OK and service at breakfast was ok.

They could have given us the room we paid for, pool view room in quiet part of hotel. Instead we got a view of a very large roof with a miniscule view of a pool in a loud part of the hotel right by the stairs and lift. Floors are tiled so it's loud. Our heating was not working. There is no heating and at night it was cold. The toilet didn't flush, they had to repair it and the sink water didn't drain. The water from the shower was leaking on to the bathroom floor. The cabinets of wardrobes didn't shut or were loose. There were so many issues with the hotel. One of the staff was almost pestering us for tips. Very bad experience.

Elegant colonial style, central location, excellent cuisine, nice facilities, beautiful swimming pool, and warm, attentive staff.

For the price they charge some of the areas are somewhat rundown, the rooms are overly perfumed and bathroom fan is really noisy and cannot be switched off

All the staff were excellent and made our stay a wonderful experience. Our driver Phakum was excellent through out our vacation, you are lucky to have such a talented employee.Cameron the guide you provided was also excelent and answerd all our questions with great enthusiasm. They both obviously have a great knowledge and love for their country and Raffels.Sorry if I have mispelt their names. I forgot to mention the swimming pool and spa which was beautiful.

    Nothing our vacation was perfect.
