Solar Hotel

The connecting rooms were perfect for our family. It was easy to book a driver to see the temples.

Breakfast was pretty boring, but adequate.

The room was cozy ,and the balcony was ok and peaceful and quiet. The bedding was superb.

The breakfast wasn't to my expectation

I am very pleased with the staff and the hotel. It's convenient, you can easily walk and find what you need. I haven't seen a grocery store in this area but A LOT of convenience stores and all sorts of variety of shops and tasty restaurants. You will probably want to take a Tuk Tuk to go to Pub Street and explore fully. The Tuk Tuk drivers are affordable and friendly. I would return to Solar Hotel

Slightly out of pocket from the main tourist zone but that's not really a complaint, just hop on a Tuk Tuk and you're there in 5 minutes! You can't complain about that.

Location is 10 minutes walk from the Pub Street but it’s located just by the main street. The room was perfect with a pool view, very comfortable and modern. The breakfast wasn’t various but I still enjoyed it and felt full!

Staff are nice

TV in room has no remote. Not a smart TV.Would only be useful if you have a USB/drive to connect.

Great hotel and staff.We went to drop bags ,hours early and our room was ready.They helped with our laundry and breakfast was all ok.

Great location - close enough to walk into the town centre but far enough away to be quiet at night, with friendly welcoming staff. Room was a great size and very clean.Reception staff assisted us with booking a private transport to the airport for a very reasonable price.

Would have preferred more choice for breakfast (which is only early - only 7am-9am)It’s a shame that the TVs in the rooms are not smart TVs so that we could stream our favourite shows wirelessly.

Good location, a 10 min walk from the Pub Street tourist zone (whether thats a good thing is personal choice but tuk-tuks seemed fairly reasonable). Being set back from the road was a bonus for privacy and quietness from traffic noise. Nice swimming pool, could view the sunset from the upper hotel floors. Small balcony on each of the rooms. A separate shower cubicle with a good overhead "rainfall" style head or a conventional adjustable height head to choose between. Wifi worked well. Intercom phone for reception and between rooms was useful, although one of our friend's rooms was inaccessible from my extension for no obvious reason. Rooms had a safe, and coffee facility.Breakfast was a bit basic, being egg on toast+jam, or egg and bacon+toast, and hot tea/coffee - also a plate of fruit to go with this was offered, However it was fine to just start off the day, and the staff were very quick with the service.

Tv sets in all our rooms did not work, hence no remote was provided. However they had power on them so maybe could have been used as a large display for people with laptops or the right casting apps on their mobile devices, but as I say there was no remote to even test this theory. Our room's basin mixer tap was not bolted down to the basin surround, making it a 2-handed affair to select the flow and temperature.

Beautiful hotel, rooms cleaned every day. Staff always smiling, girls on reception are very helpful and always happy. Great location, 10 minutes walk to pub street.Loved this hotel and would recommend it.

The whole impression was spoiled by the terrible smell of sewage. I had to buy soda and vinegar to neutralize this smell. It is necessary to flush the entire system. Wash the entrance doors. The doors are of good quality, but dirty!

Friendly and Helpful Staff. Helped in Planning and Booking with the Daily Trips. Room was really good, fully equipped with Balcony with Seating.

The gym equipment didn’t work and the pool wasn’t super clean but still fine :)

Staff helped me to rent motorbikes for reasonable price, even super early in the morning. The breakfast is ok. The pool seemed clean and was nice to have access to. Location was convenient, lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The location of the hotel and the size of the room were good.

Room cleaning was incomplete and careless.There was no soap in the bathroom.Breakfast was insufficient. The breakfast room was very bad.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is quite good, within walking distance of the city centre and in a quiet area. The room was clean.

Old building with decaying furniture and equipment. The photos do not give a good idea of the rooms. The furniture is worn, the pool area floor is broken and unstable in certain places. The pool water is cold and static. The gym is minimal and the few pieces of equipment are rusty and dated. Breakfast is very basic: you can only choose between a savoury sandwich or toast with butter and jam, with tea or instant coffee. The television in our room did not work. In the bathroom the shower seal was so worn that it no longer held water and flooded the rest of the bathroom.

The area was great, the pool area is ok for relaxing and the rooms are spacious with balcony.

The room had a tv but they said it doesn't work.the breakfast choice could be better it is restricted to egg on toast or egg sandwich and fruit.

Great location. Lovely staff who were especially helpful with visa and responded to requests immediately. Smart TV and wifi excellent.

Nice freshly painted room , 10 minutes walk to pup street and night market plenty of food options right on doorstep
