Siem Reap River View Residence

The staff in the front desk are respectful, they speak good English, and accommodating. We were given a welcome drink and since we arrived early, they let us stay at the lobby which was spacious, comfortable, and had free WiFi. Our room was ready at 1:30 pm and they let us check in already. I like the daily buffet breakfast and if our tour for the day (like Angkor Wat sunrise) leaves early, we were given a packed breakfast. You can also book the Apsara Cultural Dance Show with Buffet Dinner directly with them and they arrange for RT Tuktuk transfer.

For some strange reason, the electricity in our room was dead when we woke up at 4:00 am one day. We had to go out to inform the front desk because there is no phone in the room. And since the hotel is centrally located (a big advantage), there are several pubs and clubs with loud music up to 10 pm and so this is the disadvantage if you want to sleep early.Overall, I would have given a 10 star rating if these setbacks did not occur. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our short vacation in Siem Reap.

I love enjoying a shower with hot water but unfortunately, my room can’t get hot water even though I open it for almost 15 minutes, still I can’t get it. It really takes a long time to wait for it, and makes me feel uncomfortable ☹️The bed should replace two pillows which are easier to adjust during sleep.

Hotel is a little bit old, but rooms seems to be renovated, modern and clean. Very good location, 5 min walk to main attractions. The day we had the Angwor Wat temple, leaving at 4am from hotel they gave us a breakfast box to take with us. Service really nice. We did laundry there as well and everything good.

Hotel itself could be nicer, a little bit old and not entirely well maintained.

Good value for money. The hotel is not as good as on the photos. But it’s good. Location is good and price as well.

I personally don't have complain on my side, but my friends had to change hotel, because the room they reserved was not available and they provide a downgrade without notice.

Very noisy and my reservation was hacked by some staff of hotel. The scammer contact me to confirm the reservation through the link.

Our room was modern and most staff were friendly. The breakfast is only $3. The location is good. Plenty of free drinking water.

Our bathroom shower was covered in mold (see photos) which is a health hazard, our sliding glass door did not lock which is a safety hazard, there are torn up panels in the hallways and ceilings.. they finally moved us to another room which had no mold in the shower, but had mold in the sink. Also we were moved to floor 1, and that sliding glass door did not lock either, so we felt even more unsafe.

On line the property looked find but beware of hidden truths.

On arrival after a 6hr bus journey we checked in only to find our family room was right next to building work been carried out next door, I went straight to reception to ask why we wasn’t notified about this previous as had booked a month in advance but was told no work was going on due to the bank holidays, another lie at 06:30 the noise was horrendous with jack hammers banging and radios blaring out. We cancelled our stay and a further stay we had booked but still haven’t been refunded our full amount now 18 days after been told 7 days so I would advise from using this hotel

The staff were all very friendly and did genuinely seem to be trying to help.However it felt like the management and training is lacking.

Unfortunately this is a long list.There were so many issues that you would not expect.Things like the fridge was missing from the fridge space, with the mini bar drinks, just sat on the side, when we requested a fridge the staff member seemed demused the fridge was not there.The table and chairs were also missing!The room slippers were very dirty and stained, better not having them than leaving those in the room.The curtains had gaping rips down them, tiles cracked in the bathroom and the tap on the sink was hanging on by a thread !we had to request toilet paper and soap as they never replaced it.The breakfast was average at best ( i generally eat anything, but some of this tested me )Cooked item were kept in a bain-marie, which fine , however the little gas burners underneath were either not lit or often not even there, which left soggy cold items.Such a shame as the hotel has potential to be so much better, it just seems there is little to no management or training, asthe staff appear to be conscientious.On leaving we received an email asking for a 10 out of 10 score on booking.com, advising it helps the staff to stay employed, this perhaps explains the high score it currently has.

The staff were incredibly accommodating. Helped us with our laundry and renting a motorcycle to tour Angkor Wat. They communicate via WhatsApp and are very prompt to respond.Location is ideal. So much to easily explore within walking distance from great local food (both dine in and street eats) to a plethora of night markets.Being able to cool off in the pool after a long day in the sun was so refreshing.

There was construction going on that was loud and constant. This isn’t the hotel’s fault and they even told us as we checked in. Thankfully we spent most of the day exploring the area so we didn’t deal with it much, but when you want to relax it can be a bit much.Construction teams were done right at 5pm and didn’t work on weekends.

we got it at a very low price, and too bad we only stay 1 night because we had limited time in cambodia. it looks like a four or five star hotel at a very cheap price, and also the staff are super helpful and kind and hospitable. and easy to talk to

nothing really

Location was excellent. It was slightly away from the very touristy area which was perfect. However, there was much construction going on next to our building and it was extremely noisy during the day. There is a car wash next door that seems to play music until the wee hours of the morning.The staff were amazing. So kind, helpful and genuine. The lovely young woman who checked us in was the best.

The hotel may have been exceptional 15 years ago but it is dated and rather run down. The hall carpets throughout the place are worn and dirty, the room we booked resembles nothing of the photos posted. We had a “kitchen” but not one item to cook with (if we were inclined to do that). Bathroom was concrete walls- very strange with very cheap vanity that was not even attached to the wall.

The breakfast is very much value for money and well prepared. The hotel is very well located. It is very clean. Staffs are sincere and well-behaved.

Nothing is there to mention as such. The swimming pool may be bit bigger in size.

Had a lovely stay here. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. Our room was very nice and the pool was great.

The location is nearby city center. Convenient for traveling around.
