Spa was very bad. Therapist was unskilled

Friendly and attentive floor staff, excellent breakfast selection, great location, comfortable beds and clean and spacious bathrooms.

Food quality can be improved...taste wise.Room allocated was very close to the outdoor AC unit of the hotel, i guess...so it was quite noisy

.The location was good. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities, all functioning perfectly. Although I stayed for only one night, it was very comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free.

The security guards at the main gate and entrance lack basic respect and courtesy. They do not know how to communicate properly with guests. Additionally, the staff's assistance during my checkout was disappointing.

Will never stay in monsoon empress ever again

The hotel was informed by email and telephone about late night arrival. I was told they have room service for food - dinner. On arrival I was told that room service is only till 10pm. I ordered food from outside, but when the delivery person came with food, I was told by front desk no out side food is allowed. Thus effectively, in middle of night I was told to go out looking for restaurant for dinner!!!In spite of request for Non smoking room, I was given smoking room, I could hardly sleep on empty stomach as well as the lingering smoke in the room. This affected my day at Amrita hospital where I was attending the cardiac conference. I was promised the room will be changed to non smoking the next day but it was not done. Hence I checked out of the hotel next a day earlier than planned, in spite of having paid for additional day's stay. No refund was given.There was no Bell captain service, I had to carry my own baggage on arrival and departure.Dr Suresh Joshi, Director, Heart Surgery, Mumbai

Not at all 5 star. Very poor service and staffs are no cooperation. Very bad experience. I don't know how Booking.com gave 8.8 rating.There is no collection of food in the breakfast. No worth for money. Never go again and will not recommend

We stayed in Monsoon Empress 8 Nights and took 3 rooms. Hotel is very cleaned and staff's are friendly. I like the location of the hotels also buffet during breakfast & dinner time.

Suggested to have different menu for breakfast in different days. Noted that everyday serve the same menu for breakfast.

Trying very hard to think about something that we liked.

Bad attitude staff, not fit for calling themselves a five star hotel. Morning no pleasant smiling staff in reception. The girls doing the job like not interested. The guy also same. Night they had a trainee and one cleaner handling hotel....from entry no one to take the luggage. When we requested they send the security. ...then again at reception we asked about luggage...they called another guy to help. All the staff needs training. No trolley or luggage guy. Smell in the reception not good. No perfume or a pleasant feeling when we are inside. Pool looked dirty. Ac vents full of dust accumulated. Had allergic sensing initially. Ac cooling bad. Small room ... overpriced.Morning they put music very loud in the corridor and it can be heard Inside rooms. Very loud English songs instead of some light music.Breakfast buffet : masala dosa not good. Poori tasted better. ..but no potato curry. Chicken stew is there . No good combinations. Overall a 2 star service hotel calling themselves a 5 star.

the hotel is not a 5 star quality property.the buffet is limited and not good quality, the base room costs 7000 rs but it is the size and quality of a 3 star room bathrooms are very small . the fridge was dirty and rusted.a/c filters unclean and the over all ambience matched that of a three star hotel

Our stay were wonderful and we enjoyed a lot. The front desk staffs were very helpful especially Akshay. He helped us to order food online upon checking in late night as the hotel kitchen closed. The hotel cab driver, Krishnankutty was very helpful and he made sure our 2 days trip in Kochi were remarkable and awesome. The breakfast choices are good with a lot of varieties. Overall our trip were wonderful with a lot of memories.

This property claims to be a 5 star.. its no where near to 5 standards.1.The quality of bed linen is bad .2.No kettle .3.No tissue box .4.No locker in changing room.5.pathetic food They are trying to save money every by comprising the quality.

The proximity from By-pass road, Room, and staff. Breakfast was good.

Newness of the building and location. The staff were excellent, very quickly attended to requests. Excellent WiFi, room sizes were great.

It doesn't have a hotel atmosphere, don't get me wrong the hotel is properly rated and everything you expect, but the ambience wasn't there. Also very few guests, maybe one reason.
