Hanging Huts Resort - Kotagiri

We were there in that property for New year (2026) celebration.It was so nice.To us everything was perfect.The staffs were nice and cooperative.Food preparation was of homely.Thanks to the cook.Wishing the property and it's owners every success.

Had a great experience at Hanging Huts resort. The location and the view from the balcony is simply mind blowing. The room are pretty clean, sufficiently specious and with adequate amenities. The surrounding are well maintained with lots of flowers and plants. The way to the resort is amazing with a great sunset view point very close to the property. Highly recommend if you are looking a stay in Kotagiri.

Could have improved on the menu

Location is serene and surrounded with tea estate. Property is well maintained and rooms given you traditional kerala style experience and views are breathtaking. Rooms are well maintained and very clean and comfortable. Property is easily approachable to main road may be 1.5-2km.Breakfast was very good. They take special care of the food menu and ask in advance as what you would like to have and tailor it in line with your expectations. It was like home food for me and i will not go to any restaurant whenever i come to kothagiri. I have found my resort to stay whenever i come next to kothagiri. Give it a try and you will not be dissapointed. Special thanks to owner who was willing to support at each and every instant and wonderful support staff who kept you updated on regular basis and eager to help. Overall a wonderful experience even though it was a short one.

Nothing which i didnt like may be a little more options on breakfast like making some items complementary like Egg/ Bread which is chargeable if you choose south indian menu. I don't see this as a major drawback but this is something which property can think about.

We had a wonderful stay at Hanging Huts. Amazing views, good food, lovely hospitality, long walks, serene and quiet place. We loved everything about Hanging Huts. We will come back for sure !

The accommodation was very comfortable. The location, views and ambience was amazing. The view from the room was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and totally enjoyed the dinner by the bonfire.

The bed was really comfortable and the view from the room is breathtaking. The room itself is very cute. As others have mentioned, the food is great and fair priced. For breakfast, you can have south indian or continental. For dinner, you have the menu with lots of options. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The road to the main property is short but it's muddy. Keep this in mind if going by car.The staff is so kind and attentive. Great experience!

They could offer fruits for breakfast. The room was a bit too small. My partner was hitting the bed when walking around it. The shower head was a disappointment because the water flow was very slow. I hope they fix this! I found the price to be a bit too expensive.

One of the mattresses in our room was sunken from the side which was uncomfortable to sleep. Complimentary tea and coffee could be given

The resort is in the lap of nature with an amazing view. It is around 40 kms from Ooty in Kotagiri away from all the hustle and bustle.The food served was in house prepared and excellent but with limited options as they don't have a proper restaurant.

Despite the high price, the basic amenities were not provided, making it feel like poor value for money. Additionally, the quality of the food was subpar. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel as it does not live up to its price tag and lacks essential amenities and culinary satisfaction.

The overall stay was truly relaxing and peaceful ? Homemade food was yummy and tasty. The scenic location was soothing to the eyes and mind. Staff were helpful and made our stay a memorable one.

The location is perfect, with the only sound is birdsong - perfect for relaxation. The room was lovely, very spacious, and the bathroom had constant hot water and a wonderful shower. The balcony was perfect for lounging on with our friends, who were in the bungalow next door. The staff couldn't do enough for us and were without exception friendly, courteous and efficient. We ate in Hanging Huts a lot of the time and the food was great - and plentiful. The menu is varied and the cook is always willing to accommodate requests. We would all highly recommend Hanging Huts and hope to return ourselves in the near future.

There was nothing any of us disliked. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee in the room, alongside the kettle, and perhaps a hand towel would have been useful. These are very minor suggestions as, on the whole, Hanging Huts is perfect!

The rooms were uniquely built and positioned to give each a great view of the hills and valley. Staff was also very helpful.

The caretakers of the property were very helpful and tended to our every need promptly. The food prepared for different meals was simple but amazing. We felt at home and would definitely like to visit again.

Last 200 metres stretch to reach the place is a little tricky but still manageable.

in general everything was nice, except the approach Mud road to the property, which was bad & dangerious. The staff were all very polite, helpful & friendly. They would look even more professional if they had an uniform dress code.......

The food menu didn't have HALAL FOOD-(non veg), & we were not able to order our required non veg food.

There are many good things about Hanging Huts but the best is the view. It is truly astounding. You can sit on the balcony and look at it for hours. In addition the birds that you can watch flitting about is very pleasant too. Hanging huts is a small resort, so you really feel at home, particularly as all the staff are kind and always smiling. The accommodation is very nice, clean, with a lovely for poster bed. The gardens are pretty and well maintained. We stayed here despite not having our own transport and Mr Gopal helped us organize a tour of the area. I would recommend a stay if you enjoy, peace, beautiful views and nature.

I seriously didn’t like any food which I orderedChilly Chicken was full of oil dripping and heavy sauce, biryani was either tasty or had any mutton price except bones
