    Pros +

    • Great location with parking. Restaurant next door is excellent. Large rooms and a lovely terrace.
    • This was a great place to stay! The rooms were huge - by far the biggest rooms we had throughout our entire stay in France. The hotel was clean and the receptionist was extremely friendly and gave us great city/restaurant recommendations. Would stay here again! About a 10 minute walk from the train station (slightly uphill) and a short walk to the center of town.
    • Lovely, comfortable room and bath. Room very nicely appointed. Location is great - walking distance from train station. Probably one of the nicer rooms in Brive, once you get past the entrance and finally get checked in.

    Cons -

    • ZERO flexibility on check in or check out times, not even a few minutes. Very dark and unappealing street entrance to elevator to go up to check-in and rooms. You can’t be sure what type of establishment you are checking in to when you arrive. Bed pillows need to be replaced, like sleeping on rocks.
    • Initially I had a little trouble reaching out to the hotel. Once solved everything was exceptional!
    • Parking. No window in our room

Easy walk from train station, great location, generous breakfast option, lovingly decorated. A gem.

Initially I had a little trouble reaching out to the hotel. Once solved everything was exceptional!

Great location, lovely welcome from the helpful staff

Parking. No window in our room

    9PatrickPosted on: 8-2-2024

    Rooms are generous and spacious

The service a bit limited as there was no soap in the shower despite having asked for a refill but nothing happened.Towels changed every 3 days for environmental purpose maybe tough considering the very warm local climate conditions!

The room was very large and airy. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The owner/manager was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The hotel is in a very unusual and interesting building. Brive is a beautiful town, and the hotel is less than 15 minutes walk from the centre of it.

Due to language difficulties, there was a little confusion about whether/how we had to pay for parking, but this was sorted out quite quickly.

Suite on top floor was new and large, great tub, nice linens, very comfortable. Adjacent restaurant was open on a Sunday night (very good too). Owner was helpful in working through the bike storage.

It’s in an old remodeled building in the centre of Brive, so entry is a bit complicated.

Perfect location for a short walk to the centre. Big room great bed. Excellent breakfast.

The room had no outdoor windows but we knew this. The AC was occasionally noisy so we didn’t use it which meant the room was a bit stuffy. Not a big issue though. Co located brasserie downstairs v good.

Quite a find in the centre of Brive, a lovely surprise behind a small and somewhat austere facade. Lovely design and rooms, public areas and outdoor terrace.

Perfect location. Spacious. Clean. Very helpful staff.

Nothing. Great overnight spot in a beautiful town.

We were surprised to see that the hotel just had a front door on the road which looked uninteresting but inside it was transformed and completely fascinating. We loved it.

Everything ok, apart from the missing window.

The room was nicely furnished and large, but had no windows, that is no circulation of air at all. A fact that we were informed about after booking.

We only stayed one night but it was great. The hotel facilities have been recently updated exceptionally well and our room was huge, with gourmet bathing options. The bed was very comfy and all the systems worked well. The hotel is only a five minute walk to the train station, which has rental car locations, so it was very convenient. The location is a couple of blocks from some charming walking streets in Brive, with lots of dining and quality shopping options. Our hostess was not only exceptionally welcoming and informative, but she makes a GREAT breakfast, probably the best we had in a month in France, Belgium and Germany. The breakfast was not included in our room price, but it was definitely worth the cost -- she served the best croissants we had anyplace. We would have been delighted to stay at Hôtel SPA Le Miel des Muses longer if our travel plans had allowed it.

We had booked a room for Friday night so that we would be close to the train station for an early Saturday departure. Due to some problems with our car rental, we also needed a room for Monday night. We inquired at the hotel and were welcomed with kindness, a beautiful room, and a recommendation to visit the restaurant downstairs for dinner. Again on Friday evening, we were welcomed and given a comfortable room and wonderful restaurant recommendation. The location is excellent for anyone traveling by train as it is minutes to walk to the station. Even though the area might seem to be noisy on a main street, it quiets down completely at night.

Nothing! It was beyond our expectations. The location even has an elevator! My only regret is not trying the breakfast option.

    10SandraPosted on: 5-19-2023

Nice big room and although we had no window it was not a problem, the bed was comfy, you pay 15 euros extra for the breakfast which was lovely, the staff are very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable, we will definitely be back
