Pros +
- I arrived very late and was warmly welcomed by a friendly gentleman who helped me with my bags. After a long day of driving, his kindness was much appreciated. Very convenient location, large room, sizable remodeled shower, several lighting choices, comfy chairs and extra side tables. Parking is close, elevator a big plus.
- Close to A20 motorway where don't have to battle rush hour build up of traffic in fairly quiet location. Coffee reasonable strength but is only really good part of the breakfast. (run out of space in the didn't like so continued here ) ..Had stayed at hotel a few years before then the breakfast was very good there was then lots more choice better quality meats particularly. Not once did I see a smile from any of the hotel staff nor the guests which I think speaks volumes. The reception was totally empty in the morning I saw one guest trying to find them perhaps they had realised they needed to get supplies for the under catered for breakfast. The only lift when I came down with my bags was 3 quarters filled with cleaning trolley plus staff use bag so I had to squeeze in the small space available. This is a hotel that needs a major look at by soemone who knows how to make guests feel welcome.
- Right of the interstate
Cons -
- The heater didn’t seem to track with the thermostat and the room was cold.
- On the plus side the room was a big size but badly organised, poorly decorated, old bathroom suite with flimsy resin bathtub that you could feel wobble (and I;m not heavy) showering in it. Had difficulty with what must have been stuck knob to get shower divert to work the water pressure wasn't that good certainly nowhere near you would get in B&B hotels. The plugs in room were nowhere near the desk for using your laptop also the table to put your bag on was chipped round the edges as well as one leg at angle looking like it may collapse with weighty luggage. Bed headboard was designed for 2 single beds apart from eachother so the double bed looked silly with the bedside shelves out of arms reach while in the bed also the wide gap of not very tasteful silver paintwork mmade it look like you were in the storeroom of a tacky dance hall. Breakfast was notably disappointing first 2 cups I picked up one had what looked like heaavy chocolate mark just under the rim the second was stained. I came down at just after 8am the choice was very depleated 1 piece of ham a few slices of cheap salamis with about 6 slices of cheese. There was only the one baguette in the basket and the edge of the Brioche was hard. One other loaf of half consumed better quality bread still remained to cut slices off. I don't know what the trend is for the small assume bake on the premises croissants but they are rapidly making French breakfast time a complete farce of the traditional French breakfast they had none of that bit on them cruch of proper croissants and their size is a joke. A number of people came down after me for breakfast none of the items had been replenished so their choice was even less than I had and going fast. Had I have come down to what they would have seen I would have complained but it should not be up to the guest to have to do that or ask for the things which aren't there.

Breakfast was vey sparse for the price, toilet smelled terrible
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect fir our onward travels. The food in the Restaurant for both Dinner and Breakfast was excellent. Public car park in front of the Hotel.
The bedroom was looking tired. No beverage making facilities in the bedroom.
Convenient location.
Restaurant - the food was awful and nothing like what was described on the website. The parking was unlit so had to use a torch to find the car. The staff were very unhelpful - went out to the car [in the pitch dark] and then couldn't get in as receptionist was not there.
Amenities and food close by
Room 91 needs upgrading, more like a two star with old towels and broken door handle. A bit more lighting needed as had to keep curtain closed on ground floor
The room was comfortable with the facilities that one would expect. It is fine for 1 or 2 nights but you probably require more for a longer stay. The washbasin around the plug was very careworn and seemed less clean than it should have been. This is partly due to the unit being a factory made drop in product of some strange material which is not ageing well. There is plenty of free parking and easy access to A20.
Breakfast service was strange as no members of staff appeared at all. Some of the buffet dishes did need topping up but no-one appeared.Consideration should be given to replacing the sink/washbasin if suitable and effective cleaning cannot be achieved.
Proximity to A20
Dated interior and dated facilities
Location ok, near the highway. Staff is friendly.
Dirty towels, poor breakfast.
Good size room, comfy bed, great meal, close to motorway, friendly staff
Noisy rooms, both internal & external doors were noisy & the lift dings on arrival, we were close to lift
Location, dry close to the motorway
Disappointed with the restaurant Needs a face lift
Our request was for a room convenient for a dog, ie ground floor , and they were able to provide this. Breakfast was good and value for money. As this was a stopover whilst travelling south it was very convenient for the motorway and consequently the area was quite industrial but it suited our requirements. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing we did not like however we would only use it again as a stopover en route.
Convenient and excellent dinner
Breakfast very sparse-we arrived more than an hour before service finished and nothing more was available even when we askedBathroom very smallRoom very tatty and tiredTV wasn’t working properly
Location is very good and staff were polite and the baby cot was provided. Communication was fluent and good. Price is contained but not overly cheap.
The room was a bit dated and you could see the age of the paint in the walls as well as the overall bathroom. Windows barely isolate and you could hear all of the cars and motorbikes that seem to gather close to the hotel to show off how noisy they are.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean
It was a tired and rather scruffy building. The restaurant meals were of a poor standard. The shower was in the bath and the taps were impossible to reach until you were standing in the bath itself.
Good stop over in an ideal location, close to the motorway. Had all the facilities we needed. Free wifi, clean and nice breakfast
Breakfast was excellent - very well presented and a wide choice of different dishes
Restaurant not open on Saturday evening
Dog friendly. Helpful polite staff.
Room looked tired (paint peeling of the door, big stain on carpet just inside the door, some cracked tiles in bathroom) I was tired too as I got woken up by what appeared to be a boiler/plumbing noise within the room off and on from 3.30am.
Quiet room, excellent staff, good facilities, excellent location
I had a health issue while staying and the managerswas absolutely amazing. Even before her wonderfulintervention I would have happily returned. The roomwas large with plenty of surfaces to put things on.The bed was comfortable the shower huge. Full marks
