Hotel Tavern Surigao

Staff is outstanding went out of there way to make us comfortable. Best staff I experienced in quite a while. Hotel Employee front desk receptionist was great and aided in many ways.

Checked in and requested 3 moves until we received a room we were satisfied with. Never stay in the deluxe seaview suite room 721, very outdated and not kept up. Bug issues in that room.

I just love this place.

The staffs are very accommodating, the food is good. However, the aircon is not that cold. The staff offered us to move to another room but it’s already hassle and I also have a half-marathon early in the morning.

The lobby is very nice, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. They have a good breakfast with attentive staff.

The bed didn't look cozy. It's a box-style with a mattress. The blanket is wool on the sheet and tacked under the mattress. But overall, it was comfortable to sleep in. The towels are not very white, and the shower stalls are small. I didn't like the shampoo bar, but I took one as a souvenir. I had never seen a bar shampoo.

Conveniently located near the ferry pier and lots of restaurants as well. Bed comfy and a good value. Also staff were very friendly and honest when I left my laptop bag at the lobby , they called me right away. Highly recommended.

We lost one charger when we checked out and we came back after 3 days and they said they didn't find anything from housekeeping

Breakfast buffet is pretty average. Not much choices however the staff are very accommodating and friendly.

Good location, nice and comfortable room.The morning breakfast was perfect with plenty of choices. The entire kitchen staff was wonderful!!! I would also like to mention the very pleasant front desk agent Rosally as a plus during our stay.

Only the limit of TV viewing. Would have been nice to have relaxing viewing options after being out all day. You would think nowadays the option for Netflix would be available.

The manager asked my gfriend of 3 years if she was a prostitute last year and this year. My friend only told me today cus she was too embarrased. I want to email the owner please provide owners email.

Location is just a 7min walk from the port. Room is spacious and has complimentary bottled water. Staff are accommodating as well. Breakfast had a variety of food.

Hotel is quite old and the bathroom fixtures need to be updated. Layout of the room was quite weird as well as there was a panel where the TV is located in the center of the room. It made the room look smaller and I couldn't watch TV while seated in the sofa, only on the bed.I got a room with sea view, but the view was obstructed by some tractors.

The staff was very nice. The WiFi was good. The breakfast was decent. A bunch of nice restaurants nearby.

There was always a blackout in the hotel during rain. In each case, you had to manually activate the fuse again for the AC in the electrical board by the entrance, which was quite annoying when you're trying to sleep.The shower head was at shoulder height with no removable shower head available. Fairly annoying to bend down to shower.The hotel restaurant was out of stock of many things I tried to order, so I ended up leaving and going elsewhere.

Staff were fantastic. Breakfasts good. Restaurant next door was good.
