Kudat Golf & Marina Resort

The swimming pool is great.My height is 155cm and the deepest part of it only reach my neck so I’m glad I can move around it. My kids love the pool and the staffs were friendly.

The are some dirts under the bed.

Breakfast should be improved. All the swings and slides at the playground are rusty, think its time to change to new ones. Other than that, we had a lovely time! Would definitely come back again with hope the playground has been renovated!

Newly renovated bedrooms were excellent. Great sea views and lovely pool.

Staff were casual and not focused enough on clients needs. Breakfast poor by big hotel standards. The food was cold and often ran out.First time in 7 weeks of travelling in Asia, we had to pay a deposit for our room

Reception was ready for us upon our arrival. Friendly and fuss free check-ins. Rooms were recently refurbished, so many of the amenities were new, clean and in working order. Basic amenities are all there, iron, ironing boards, coffee maker, disposable sandals, etc. Room has a very ideal set-up for working & was quite spacious, toilet's big and clean with separate shower areas, option for shower or rain shower. Bed was comfy, comforter's warm & two type of pillows with different firmness to choose from. Nice and cosy, and despite what we have been told (by previous relatives who stayed there before); we had quite a good stay as the rooms were much better than we expected. Did not manage to use any of the hotel amenities outside as it was raining the 2 days we were there. Got water stations just outside the room, convenient for instant hot water/water refills.

Most of the instructions i.e. AC controller, is in Chinese! I get that their main customers are Chinese but not all Chinese can read Chinese, and also, are we not in Malaysia? We were at ground level & there were still construction materials left outside our balcony. No umbrellas in the room (tho can be loaned from the front desk). Bathroom/shower area, even tho its enclosed, water still leaks/flows out, so floor towel do get soaked if too near the shower area. Road leading to the resort is dark with no street lights, not even dimly lit! Wifi's ok when working, on the 2nd day, apparently half the town had no wifi (at least that's what we've been told) as it has been raining the 2 days we were there.

The rooms were just newly renovated so everything is brand new. The sea view room had a beautiful view. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is very clean and beautiful. The environment was very serene and peaceful.

Breakfast option was quite limited.

Nice view over the ocean (too bad we got a room on the side of the parking lot, although there were barely any other guests). You could tell the room was recently renovated.

Poor breakfast. The building indeed needs some refreshments, hence the ongoing renovations.

The evening meal was a joke and you had no choice what you were served. The staff had zero personality or charm. Basically ignored us. Felt we were inconveniencing them. Spent more time talking to each other or on mobile phone. There were too many uncontrolled children.

Location was relatively good. Near to the sea, good views. Room was very clean.

The staff at the check-in counter was really trying to make some money into his pocket. We enquired the cost for a short ride to a nearby restaurant and each staff gave different answers - RM10 for each pax/ one way? There was no official receipt issued which means obviously this money was going into their own pockets! The restaurant was only a 30 seconds ride away, literally! Besides that, we paid for a Seaview room, and was given a room where the view was blocked by the gym. What’s the point of paying extra for the view??!!! And when I told that at the counter, they just mentioned there’s no other room available. Well don’t put that particular room under Seaview then if it’s gonna cost almost a 100 ringgit more than the regular room! Room was as it is small, so old fashioned and definitely not worth the money we paid for. Shower water was trickly and kindly remove the “resort” designation from your hotel.

The location was good. We visited the Tip of the Borneo park. A pity about the sad Malaysian flag at the globe. It was very frayed and damaged (?by the wind and sun??). Our ocean view from our rooms was spectacular. It was close to the seafood restaurant and town.

Renovations were happening when we stayed there. And we assumed that the rooms will be the next on the list. The painters should cover all the timber work the dont want painted. Eg. the bathroom - shower screen could not close properly, current bathroom laminated door was splitting at the end. Obviously not water proof. The bedroom glass window or tiles didn't look cleaned. It was windy so the glass window was probably affected that way.

Good location in the vicinity of Kudat town with reasonable price and spectacular view of the ocean.

The room and facilities were a lit old worn out.

The view from the room was amazing. (I was upgraded to the sea view at check-in without asking, which was kind as it’s an amazing view of the boats and a beautiful sunrise) the pool and gym were very good, opens at 8am. The room was very clean and cute. All the staff were lovely!

This resort has a beautiful view of the Sulu Sea. And it can be quite windy, too, but we liked it. Quite a few golfers frequent this place during our stay.The rooms has old furnishings but still quite comfortable. This hotel has a coway drinking water in the hallway to fill up the hotel glass bottle in the room. So no plastic bottles are used.

No eateries within walking distance.

The view from my room, over looking the pool, sea, marina and sunrise couldn't be beat. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the pool is very good.

The TV wasn't great but had two American channels. The room was OK. Its a good 20 mins in to town walking which was OK for me but maybe not for everyone and I didn't see any Grab in the area. Maybe the hotel can arrange but I wanted the walk.

the room was dusty,smelly..asking staff to vacuum and mop,but one of the staff said they dont have a vacuum..verry unsatisfied with that answer..please get your staff a vacuum..also asking to spray air freshener,but when im enter the room,i smell nothing..tissue box no refill..toilet roll also..when i call reception asking for tissue box,coffee n creamer..they give me the wrong item..huhh..

Beautiful place with fresh air.

We took 3 rooms and given at the lower ground level, which outside our room was total darkness. It will be better if the surrounding/outside our room have some lights.

The room facing the sea is breathtaking. Every is good from reception to the room. Breakfast is okay. Recommended to stay here

Staff are really helpfull and friendly. Good job. Keep it up. Swimming pool is nice.

Old fashion, old furniture, everything is old. Even the shower also need to be upgrade and repair. Voucher for breakfast very expensive. Rm45 for adult. Rm20 for kids. Compare to what they serve, actually its not worth it.

Most staff were very nice and polite.

Bathroom smelt very bad and shower leaked. Room very rundown.
