Hotel O Ban Cheong

The hotel is strategically located at the town center. Kangar Street Art is just a 2 minute walk across the road, The Store is right behind within 5 min walk, and 10 min walk to the local bus terminal where you can take buses to other towns like Kuala Perlis, Arau, Kaki Bukit and Padang Besar.

Google map shows there are two hotels with the same name at different locations. The one with the incorrect address (behind the badminton court) is posted with the correct photos of the hotel while the one with the correct address is posted with the incorrect photos of the hotel. Please make the necessary correction to avoid confusion.The room facility is very basic. Surprisingly toilet paper is not provided. No hot water and the water is not strong too.

the room is very hot, the air conditioner is noisy. dusty and dirty blankets. The price is not worth the facilities. no parking

The staff were friendly and helpful. They were transparent with the transactions. I think that the bad reviews that you see online with regards to the staff are most likely caused by the language barrier. As tourists, you should take into consideration that people might not understand you well or are unable to express themselves in English well.The building looks old, but it is kept clean and tidy.The bathroom facilities are working well. Water heater worked perfectly. The same goes for the AC unit.It's a simple hotel for you to spend your night. And it serves its purpose excellently.

The noise from the traffic outside can be a nuisance at night.I would appreciate it if there was a desk in my room for me to eat a meal on or do my work. The only furnitures in the room were a chair, a bed and a table for the TV set. But for the price, I think it's ok.

Room clean , aircond cool eventho the aircond old but still function well & have hot water for shower.Have iron board at foyer.

It’s too noisy because beside main road. U just can sleep after 1 am & will wake up 5@6am because motorcycle exhaust.

The easy check-in and check-out process and the price is exactly as in the application with 0 deposit required. The bed is fine, not too bad tho not too good like 4-5 stars places. Toilet and room very clean and tidy. Towel, bar soap were provided. Didn't expect much but overall experience is great.

There is no bottled water provided in the room, so need to bring own mineral water to spare in the room. Not a big deal, but might as well can be improved in future.

Very easy access to surrounding areas for shopping as well as for food.

Water supply was very slow, had problems especially during taking shower.

humble, clean, good staff comm and location was spot on. in the centre. needed a gud place for a gud night sleep spending the whole day outside. location , very strategic to get to all the pretty spots around perlis. price was gud as its just for having a clean comfortable place to freshen up and sleep.

Ban cheong hotel in the center of Kangar city. A relatively old city like the town of Kuala Pilah.The shops owners around the ban cheong hotel are quite friendly even though they are chinese.

Hotel facilities are quite bad. Our bathroom has two bathrooms. One for the toilet and the other for the bathroom. Why not combine the toilet and the bathroom. It is quite difficult to get in and out when taking a shower if you want to pee. The flush pump was disconnected when it arrived in the room. It is quite difficult to flush the toilet. The plumbing for hand washing does not have proper plumbing. When washing hands, the water comes out at the bottom and does not go into the drain pipe. Not recommened for anyone to stay for a few days
