Pros +
- Handy location for travelling from northern to southern France. Wouldn't want to stay for more than 1 night. Bedding was clean. Breakfast was good.
- Easy to access and park
- Located close to the A71 very convenient for travelling. The room was clean and comfortable for the short stay. Pet friendly and areas to walk your dog.
Cons -
- The room was in a state of disrepair and needed updating. Mould on bathroom ceiling and around tiles, which no amount of cleaning would have resolved. There was dust on the bedside tables and the carpet was old and falling apart. Bed was not very comfortable. Have stayed in campanile before and they have been much better. Not the fault of the staff, who were pleasant, the hotel just needs to be refurbished.
- Wi fi not connecting Restaurant not openRooms were dirty
- The room was clean but there was a very strong smell of air freshener which was over powering. They do not have family rooms which meant we had to split up.

Nice setting. Clean and comfy. Floor carpet could do with renewing.
The breakfast was very good . The hotel was quiet and peaceful . The hotel is dog friendly.
The room was very tired and badly needs updating and redecorating. The shower was very good with plenty of warm water but the shower cubicle had a lot of black mold between the tiles which is rather off putting. The towels were very small and well worn, they definitely need replacing . We travel often through France and this was the first time we have used Campanile Hotels, we usually stay in Ibis hotels, we were disappointed in the standard of the room so will be using Ibis and not Campanile again.
Easy access to/from motorway.Good breakfast.
Unfortunately the first room had a broken shutter & the second room hadn’t been cleaned. The third room was ok. Very noisy from other guests.
Very convenient location next to autoroute. Clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant on site.
Reception is separate from rooms. Needs to be refreshed.
Probably won't go there again
Our first room was too far from the carpark (to be fair I should have specified ground floor) for my husband to walk comfortably. It also smelt strongly of drains. I asked to move rooms, which was no issue.I was presented with the wifi code but with no explanation. It did not follow the instructions on screen so I had to return to reception for details.Despite checkout time being up to midday I believe, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9am! Not what I needed after a long drive the day before.
Not bad. However, we have stayed at lots of Camponiles, and this is the 1st time our dog has been refused entry to the dining room. Eventually, an area in reception was sorted so we could have a meal, but the staff were not happy.
Poor
The internal doors and the carpet had suspicions looking stains on them, I complained at reception and was shown a report, made by a previous guest, stating that the stains were oil and the room was scheduled for a redecoration but I could move room if I wished but as I’d already unpacked I declined. The fact is that they all ready knew about the condition of the room then it should of been withdrawn from service, not impossible as the hotel was under 25%occupied. I am a frequent guest at this hotel and this was a disappointing level of service.
Convenient for a night stop over.
Looking very tired and outside lighting was bad, after going out for dinner it was total darkness and very difficult to navigate steps up to 1st floor.
Proximity to motorway; room clean and comfortable
Unhelpful attitude of personnel at Reception - although I speak fluent French. On arrival our booking for ground floor room due to husband’s limited mobility, although confirmed at time of booking, not acknowledged, but then after pressure grudgingly arranged. WiFi not available in room, although being used in main building at Reception. No attempt to link us to wifi access, even though queried and requested.
Friendly staff. Duty manager gave us extra tea bags & milk.Near to autoroute . Convenient for journey. My main fish dish was excellent. I complemented the chef next morning.
Check-in was said to be from 2 o'clock. We were there by 2.30pm. Fortunately, the duty manager appeared shortly before 3pm & we were able to check-in.Poor knowledge about what was on the menu from the duty manager.Campanile felt run down.
Proximity to the autoroute. It was open. The restaurant was at least open. Breakfast was ok.
I booked the property because it had a restaurant that was open until 2200h. After a long day working having not eaten I arrived at the reception 2030 and was told “if you want to eat come now” we are closing.
It was very good to have an on site restaurant for dinner when we arrived. The food was good!
The bathroom door was warped and wouldn't close
Nothing the place was a disgusting hovel.
Everything, the place was nothing short of a hovel, disgustingly dirty. The room number 8, smelled of cigarettes and whacky baccy. There was black mold in the shower, the carpets were stained, there were dead mosquitoes and flies on the net curtains, within 5 mins we had inspected this room and left. The exterior was as bad with litter and filthy stair cases and wood that was unpainted for years. If I could sue to get my money back I would. I may never book through booking.com again. We drove 1 and a half hours away to Orleans to a hotel that had vacancies, we had been driving for 7.5 hours to get to this dump..we are very angry, it’s supposed to be a hotel, the owners should be ashamed of themselves. I wish I’d had a camera.
Clean and well supplied , good position and quiet.
It could benefit from a few repairs such as the mastic seals in the bathroom.
The room was on the ground floor which was great and I was able to park outside which was really good. The dinner was very disappointing , although the breakfast was good. Some staff seemed disinterested in customers and tended to rush meals.
The dinner was very disappointing. It was hot ( a fish gratin) but tasteless. Where was the parsley sauce? It unusually came with an overdressed salad which was covered in too much balsamic vinegar. It was not really edible.
Leaving!
Noise in the room from room next door, the cistern in the bathroom was extremely noisy, and the shower started dripping in the middle of the night and woke us up. Heating in the room did not work properly, so old that the numbers on the dial were illegible! We were looking forward to a nice meal, but we had to wait while others arriving after us were served. Everyone was served bread but I had to ask. I had to call the waitress. After the wait, one of the orders was wrong, so my wife had to wait for another 15 minutes. No apologies!
Good location for a stop over on trip from south of france
Not hotels fault but other residents banging doors as they came in and out of rooms, the slamming travelled through the walls.
