Rivonway Hotel Polonnaruwa

I stayed one night at Rivonway Hotel and was genuinely impressed. The ambiance was calm and welcoming, the room was clean and well-prepared, and the team was warm and attentive. The food was freshly made and full of local taste. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for comfort, quiet, and convenience near the historical sites. Highly recommended!

Stayed one night during my vacation and had a fantastic experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Perfect location for exploring Polonnaruwa’s ancient sites. Highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and relaxing stay!

The room was spacious, the hotel was close to Polonnaruwa for a day trip, and the evening meal at the restaurant was tasty.

There are a lot of bugs here, and the repellant the hotel staff kindly gave us did kill the bugs, but they ended up all over our beds, which was a bit less lovely. This is not the fault of the hotel, but just to make travellers who are bothered by bugs aware. Also, the toilet seat was cracked, so it pinched.

Absolutely perfect stay! Paddy-field view is amazing, they are truly genius, host & staff is very helpful they have solution for any matter. They arranged city tour for us reasonable price. Hotel is well maintained, They made amazing Srilankan foods & western breakfast for us, room is very clean with nice glass walls for perfect view & with personal balcony.Also they arranged unforgettable wild safari for us with excellent driver, if anyone looking for stay in polonnaruwa Rivonway Hotel is ideal place in polonnaruwa, I can Highly recommend them!

Warmly welcome us with a welcome drink! Best value for the money, hotel is in perfect location, Room was neat and clean, staff was very helpful they can organize lot of activities for guests. There can prepare awesome foods and beverages, we bought excellent wild safari from them, Perfect stay!

Beautiful & quite location with amazing view of greenery paddyfields, very clean & big rooms with balcony, Their food was amazing! they cooked very fresh Srilankan Rice & Curry for us, Friendly staff & helpful owner who support for everything.Hotel arranged superb safari & city tour with well experienced driver, i think this is the best place for arranged safari. Highly recommend for everything one.

Nature friendly awesome stay in Sri Lanka, Food was Very tasty, large breakfast. View of rice fields is very calm, mind relaxing. Staf & host is very friendly, understandable. They were organize superb wild safari, Cycling Tour & Cookery demonstration for us. Room was very comfortable with rice field view & private balcony, great Value for money, all prices are very reasonable, Very special thing is they can arrange whatever we need to do in Sri Lanka, Highly Recommend for everyone.

Superb stay, best place to stay in polonnaruwa, new rooms with balcony in perfect condition, food was very tasty. Paddy field view is mind relaxing and very calm, Rivonway is hidden gem, they were arrange everything whatever we want specially wild safari. At the morning birds & peacocks are singing arround the hotel. Very nature friendly hotel specially for tourists, small canels are going front of the property. The host is very understandable and speaking very good english. we can highly recommend for all.

Rivonway is our perfect stay in Sri Lanka, Paddy field View is amazing and hotel situated in easy access to city & other activities. They arranged nice safari for us, Their fresh foods are awesome, breakfast and dinner are very big, so many varieties both western & Srilankan. Sachin is Superb, who speaking very good english. Very beautiful, quite, calm place & clean deluxe rooms with glass walls, Private balcony, Highly recommend for long stays, large groups and all.

We were the only guests and Had a Nice room with great View over the ricefileds.Breakfast and Dinner was also available.

The Hotel is quite outside and as we were the only guests we felt a little lost.Host only spoke a few words of english.

The hotel has an excellent location and staff, an amazing rice field in front of our room, and the hotel look awesome everything is nature friendly. Just 10min away from the ancient city. The Owner takes care of everything in the hotel and serves the food which is one of the best I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka, they prepared so yummy Srilankan rice and curry and the owner solve any problem, many thanks to him and his team

Located in middle of paddy field, everywhere is green color. Room was absolutely perfect & good value for the money. Hotel owner helped us go to see the ancient places, its just 10min away. hotel organized a wild safari & cycling tour for us prices are very reasonable, Owner is always available to help us. they prepared rice & curry for us, they took lot of vegetables & Fruits from they own garden. they have papaya, Lime, Banana, Mango & and many more fruits so they give us fresh fruit juices from their garden, everything is organic. thank you very much! we will come again.
