Nothing. It was lacking in every aspect, including cleanliness. We did not use any of the facilities, we stayed for one night to simply relax from our long trip and we couldn’t even get that.

We checked in late at night, there were festivities going on outside near the pool, loud music and drums as well as extremely loud fireworks. It was well past midnight by the time they stopped. In addition to the disturbance, the room was unclean, there was sand all over the floor and dust collected behind the bed’s headboard (it’s a criss cross design so dust is literally over your pillows. Not to mention the cherry on top, the insects, mosquitoes everywhere inside the room and a centipede in the shower (image attached). Oh and also the bathrooms have mesh(?) walls not sure how to describe it but we only realized in the morning that it was filled with holes large enough for any Peeping Tom, especially since we were on the ground floor facing the pool.

Food is very good with lots of variety and restaurant staff always provide great service

Even though booking in advance we had issues with our rooms and took hours to resolve the issues. Seems to be some staff members are new and struggle. Rooms are dated and some of the other amenities fall short of expectations given the price.

Breakfast is diverse and is good overall.Hotel isn't bad- z that it shouldnt title itself as "upscale 5 star". It is at best a 3.8 star hotel or an old 4 star hotel. All of the staff are hardworking & courteous. I commend them for their Sri Lankan hospitality. Special thanks to Sulara & Nethmi for being kind and attentive staff.

There is a clear error in Google's title of this hotel as an "upscale 5-star hotel". It is anything but. The first sight of this hotel informs me three things- it is dated, it is old & it doesnt bother to furnish itself in a more aesthetically pleasing fashion. First up, the entire hotel's wall paint reflects old & worn out, and the hotel's color palette- worn brown, grey & cement makes for a very impoverished look. This hotel clearly needs a fresh coat of paint.Rooms are appropriate sized & clean though we werent given a hand soap until the last day.However it feels darkish- i really have a big problem with entire color palette of the hotel. For its audacity to call itself "5 star", the colors are poorly matched to the beach scene. The last night of my stay the toilet flush didnt stop flushing- called the staff, thought they handled it but the problem persisted in the morning.The main pool area has a lot of crows. I feel a few crows are fine & possibly unavoidable but the constant presence of crows flying around becomes somewhat irritating. The kids club has a staff but it seems tat the staff acts more as a station master, rather than someone who will care for & interact w the kids. The kids' rm AC was spoilt & they should hv installed a fan as it was stuffy & hot.Breakfast is diverse and is good overall. But lunch & dinner wasnt- to give an example, its seafood pasta contained turmeric- giving a very odd flavor. Noodle soup was tasteless, like water w a pinch of salt. The Noodle Bey restaurant was equally bad- their spicy ramen noodles was much too little & lacked flavour, the breaded prawns only had 4 prawns!, & they took close to 30mins to deliver lunch to our table.

Loud AC system, Mattress is very hard and the pillows quality needs an upgrade to match with the hotel 5 star rating.

Cinnamon Bey Beruwala is blessed with an absolutely amazing location, but unfortunately the hotel itself is in poor condition and needs serious repair. Almost everything feels old and worn out. The rooms are disappointing, the passages smell unpleasant, and many ceilings are filled with visible fungus. The overall infrastructure clearly hasn’t been maintained for a long time.What truly stands out, though, is the staff — they are extremely efficient, warm, and genuinely go out of their way to take care of guests. You can see them trying their best, but the property condition makes it difficult for them to deliver the experience the brand promises.When we arrived, the room assigned to us was so smelly and poorly maintained, with marks on the walls, that we had to walk back to the lobby and ask for a checkout right away. Only after insisting did they move us to a higher category room, which was comparatively better but still not up to the standard expected.The bathrooms also have a strong acidic smell, which makes the stay uncomfortable.Please don’t go by the pictures online — the reality is very different. With proper renovation this could be a wonderful property, but until then, it falls far below expectations.

The hotel has incredible potential, but until it undergoes proper refurbishment, it falls far short of expectations.

My room was with mosquitoes that didn’t let me sleep, they should worry that the apartments are free of insects. The use of the pool is limited and breakfasts do not have enough fruit. The watermelon that is wonderfully refreshing, never there was. And if you found it, it was in bad condition. They need to better control the food stock and the presentation

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My stay at Cinnamon Bey Bentota was truly delightful. The culinary experience was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious and well-presented dishes. The room was spacious, comfortable, and offered a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s facilities were superb, complemented by stunning views of the garden and the sea. The swimming pool was impressively large, immaculately clean, and maintained to the highest standards. I was especially impressed by the warm hospitality and professionalism of the front office and all other staff members, who made my stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable and refreshing experience, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Had such a wonderful stay! The breakfast was fresh and delicious with lots of variety, the pool was spotless and so relaxing, and the room was spacious, comfy, and beautifully kept.

Location and breakfast were great. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful except for few annoying ones. Parking was so bad and disgusting. The room was not ready when we checked in at 2 pm and the floor was wet in the room. The beach was nice but not private for the hotel.

Parking and room service were very poor. City was hectic and the people there were not friendly at all.

The property is very clean and cozy! The pool is very nice and big. There were many guest on that day but the pool was big enough to accommodate everyone. Food was exceptionally good ? Buffet in then morning and night with a lot of delicious desserts, kids really enjoyed it. Hoping to go again.

There is nothing. One or two soft drinks were not included in the Buffett?It’s not really a matterIt was small in price too. Guest will be happier?I would recommend the Cinamon management to include those to the buffet ?Everything was perfect. Worth for money ?

Friendly staff.

The delusion rooms was looking rundown and needs a renovation if they want to attract high paying guest. Wanted to stay 2nights but decided to stick to our initial plan of 1 night.

It was so amazing experience the place so tidy and clean and staff was so friendly welcoming us and helping us and food was so delicious so I give them 10/10 and I recommend them

i liked the location, the pool & the atmosphere.

breakfast was missing a lot of items. Pool was nice. Room's washroom was smelly. Bad smell of the washroom was very annoying, besides the WC flush was very hard to press. An old man / woman or a child would face a big problem. The reception's staff were very slow, even though there were not too many customers!!
