Little outdated, but as a former srilankan we understood

We received a warm welcome with refreshing towels and drinks. Adjacent rooms were provided as requested. The room sizes are good, and all amenities are provided.The hotel offers buffet breakfast and dinner with a wide range of local and international dishes. There are two pools: a long, deep pool and an adjacent children’s pool.The hotel is located on the beach, and its grounds open directly onto the beach. Pool towels are provided for each guest, and the rooms are cleaned daily.

The hotel is old and requires maintenance, particularly in the bathrooms. The bathroom door cannot be properly locked. The shower cabin appears to have had a door previously, but it is broken and no longer in place.The staff seemed to be busy with guests, and as a result, some requests were occasionally missed. For example, we were informed that water would be provided twice a day, in the morning and evening. However, it was only provided in the morning after our reminder, and the evening delivery was missed.

The hotel was really old and dirty, WIFI is not working in the room and no phone service either, the bathroom flooded after showers and they said they will fix it but they never did. The reception not answering most of the time and whenever ask for something they said they will do but never show up. When we went to the room we noticed there was only one sun bed so we asked for another one, they said yes but it never was delivered, even after multiple reminders. The sun bed that was there, was broken, and was unusable due to a broken bed - it also didn’t have cushions. The room was so dirty we actually kept our shoes on inside.

The room was quite small, and the bedding and pillows felt old and worn out. The room phone was not working, so contacting the reception was difficult. The furniture and room surfaces felt oily and had to be cleaned after we requested housekeeping. Towels were not provided initially and had to be requested separately. Considering the price paid, the stay did not feel worth the cost, except for the advantage of being right next to the beach.

Amazing hotel in bentota. There are two pools and the hotel is located right in front of the beach. The staff was friendly, and provided us with cinnamon drinks. We arrived a bit earlier, but they were able to check us in shortly. The breakfast was buffet style and had a lot of options, including Sri Lankan and Western food.

The room had a good view, and its closeness to the beach was convenient.

Aside from the view and being close to the beach, the stay was disappointing. There was constant noise from the train and from staff working right outside our room. We were misinformed multiple times, and the room wasn’t cleaned until very late in the day. Despite a 3pm check-in time, we had to wait almost two hours for our room, which cut into our day. We had paid for a swim-up room but were told on arrival that none were available, yet we were still charged. I contacted the property before arriving to ask about breakfast, received no reply until the day after we left, and was told at reception that breakfast was not included. Towels were also taken from our room and not replaced even after I asked. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations.

They didn’t prepare the room as per booking rules for example they didn’t include the iron facilities and when i asked them they provided for few hours after that they took the iron from my room in my absence and without my permission, i really didn’t like this way and feel not comfortable also the service in the bar very bad and poor not good

Two of our rooms did not have Air Conditions during the peek Hot summer in Bentota. We travelled with Family and we checked in very late in the Evening. We called the reception desk several time but they were unable to provide any solution for the Air Condition. Childrens were agitated, crying and uncomfortable as the heat was just unbearable for us. At the time of Checkout we asked for some discount as we were not satisfied with our stay due to obvious reason of the Air Condition, even after spending 2 hours at the checkout, talking to different managers and responsible persons, they shamelessly refused to accomodate us with any discount. Unfortunately due to our flight time, after spending 2 hours at Checkout reception, we had no choice but to forcefully pay in full for an uncomfortable and unpleasant stay.

Food was good but can improve the dessert section for sure. We were there for dinner on a Friday night and it was very mediocre. Main food items were ok, they can have more seafood. Breakfast was good. Can improved overall. In the room there was no phone charging point next to the bed which was a pain. And no fans in the room only Ac.

The setting is great. The two pools, gym, the beach access and the view from the rooms is unparalleled. Value for money 200%

Had wonderful stays at EKHO spacious room with outstanding POOL and BEACH views DELICIOUS breakfast with plenty of dishes helpful STAFF what else do you need ? specially DANANJAY, MALEESHA, KANCHANA and more I don’t remember the names all of them are great ? such a great staff ? Thank you guys ??

Bathroom has to be renovated in our room I don’t know about other rooms.

The facilities can be improved like toilet seat discoloration, Restaurant is full of dust and the glass in the restaurant is mossy.Staff attire needs focus looks all old and worn out. Service is good but definitely can improve

The hotel itself was absolutely lovely, the rooms were clean and bright, the travel cot was perfect. we got two beach facing rooms that went straight out to the grass and beach which I think were perfect. The pools were clean and huge. The food served was delicious and good sized. The buffet breakfast had everything you needed. Right next to the train station and some lovely restaurants , very easy to walk into the town. But there’s tuk tuks outside the hotel at all times too for convenience. The beach was beautiful and clean!

The check in experience really isn’t smooth and some of the staff were quite rude- we had booked in advance and told them our check in time - arrived about 3pm but the rooms weren’t ready, which was a pain, but after then, it really was a beautiful place to stay. Also we had to really push that we got the booking.com 10% discount and show proof every time which was frustrating as it was on the booking reference

That its right by the ocean and that the restaurants are in front of the hotel across the railway tracks where you will see the train ? . The staff are helpful and friendly.

The shower head pressure was off and it also made a loud noise. that you have to pay an additional price for breakfast it should be included since one is already paying so much! The service in the breakfast the staff were a-bit slow, waiters trying to help and be on your case i just wanted to do things myself, which i had to tell the guy its fine. The prices for dinner is overpriced and really enjoyed eating at the restaurants by the entrance of the hotel across the railway tracks where the food was amazing! That the staff asks to rate the hotel a 10 ? like people are entitled to rate what ever they want.

I recently stayed at EKHO Surf and had a truly amazing experience.The staff were incredibly friendly, professional and always willing to help. Specially Front desk staff Maleesha, Kanchana, Aruni, Rashmi, Sanindu, suneth and Danuka. The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. I specially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The location was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so memorable.
