Eden Boutique Hotel

The staff of the property was very thoughtful - I was traveling alone with 3 heavy suitcases and the front desk lady asked me whether I wanted to stay on the ground floor to avoid lugging all my luggage up the stairs. There were surprising no bugs either, which is a big plus in a tropical region.

Was not a dealbreaker for me - probably due to being windowless, the room smelled a bit dusty but I got used to it during my stay.

Overall an ok experience + friendly staff but probably pick another hotel if I'm back in Tawau again

Very basic - nothing much than a bed and hot water for a stay one night or two, no water kettle no hair dryer, wall and ceiling stained everywhere, pretty run down place

Location is good. Bed is comfy too. The room size is acceptable, could be small if you bring big luggage. No lifts available. Rooms are not sound proof. Water pressure is good. Only 1 pillow is available for each guests.

The room was a little faded, however clean and bright. No windows. Excellent bathroo.m, but few toiletries.Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, location is about a 12 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

Very little at this price. Internet is slow, but fine for emails.

Clean and comfortable room but is inevitably quite basic for the price. Still has to be one of the best options in Tawau.

Booked the queen bed room. The tv wasnt functioning, but for a one night stay i couldnt ask for much. There were dark and black stains all over the edge of the shower glass in the toilet can improve the hygiene by brushing those dirts off.

Location-wise it's good, very near to many food places & banks. Among the hotels in the area, Eden is one of the newest. We had a good night's rest, the stay is also comfortable. The best comment is to the staff services, very helpful and diligent in their service.

The location is definitely top-notch, nearby you can find many shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Beware, if you get a room on the ground floor, this will happen. The toilet smelled like a manhole. Since the room was small, which was actually okay for the price we paid, the manhole smell from the toilet seeped into the room. So our room smelled like a manhole every time the toilet door was opened. We complained to the hotel but they said "it's just the way it is". Our solution was to buy a toilet freshener from a shop nearby which fixed the smell issue a bit. But still, the manhole smell prevailed...

Fuss free hotel for room & board if you are looking for no-frills stay for the night. Don't expect much as it's basic enough to get by on a budget for long stay/transit.

The overall premise & our room (while it's clean) needs to be "refreshed". The toilet and its shower facilities needs some overhaul and a thorough scrub down..

Checked out early. Couldnt stand...

Had cobwebs. Musky odour overall. Bathroom had little flying insects.

The bed sheet is clean, towel is clean, toilet is clean, all clean. Love it. The breakfast is delicious.

.No lift, only stairs.
