Comfortable room in downtown Tawau. AC and hot water worked well. WiFi was good. Staff was very helpful with early checkout. Lots of good restaurants nearby, but it’s not too noisy.
Very convenient location for the ferry terminal. Rooms comfortable enough
Noisy and with a lot of light from the street.
Very strategic location within city centre, there's a 24 hours food court right opposite so it's easy for late supper or early breakfast.
Soundproofing isn't very good, which can be a problem if those staying near your room are going in and out at odd hours.
Helpful staff.Room maybe small but we were fine with it as the room was very clean, coffee, tea, drinking water, toiletories provided. CCTV was on the tv & we can see our car the whole nite. I woke up at 3am & i can see 3 staff manning...hanging out infront.Location was excellent. Famous seafood restaurant just opposite & the sea was about 100m walk!Thank you for having us City Garden Hotel!!
DON'T COME TO THIS PLACEThere were rats in the room and on the ceiling. We couldn't sleep for half of the night. When I told them in the morning the guy at the reception couldn't care less, no sorry no apology. I told him we should get a partial refund and he told me it's our fault for not coming downstairs at 4am to ask for another room. Apparently there's nothing they can do against rats in their own hotel. Denied giving me a partial refund for the sleepless night. Shameful.
great location, fantastic hot shower, 24 hour reception was great for arriving in late, staff were helpful with all my questions
Clean and quiet. Close to street food and laundry.
