    Pros +

    • The well-located hotel is affordable and delivers a straightforward hotel experience. At this price point, the room meets expectation. I arrive at midnight and the staff was very welcoming, and was very easy to work with when I called ahead to notify them. They help me reduce the stress of a late arrival.
    • I really appreciated the hotel safely storing our bicycle.
    • Good size room. Comfy bed and welcoming bar. Parking right outside the hotel.

    Cons -

    • The bathroom was functional but needs a visual improvement, with plumbing and surfacing needing an update. The selection of items for breakfast was good and the freshly baked croissants were nice. The only negative mark is the scrambled eggs which may have been from a package....they had an odd creamy texture.
    • Ibis is a bit cheap and inconsistent about coffee. Other hotels provide an electric kettle and instant coffee in the room. The Ibis in Gien had free coffee available in the lobby. Ibis in LaRochelle provided a free cup if guests didn’t take cleaning service. The Ibis in Nantes just told me to get a cup from the machine in the breakfast room. But in Alencon I got a very stern question about my room number when I got a cup of coffee in the breakfast room. Why make a cup of coffee such a big problem?!
    • Nothing. Woukd stay here again.

Clean tidy and comfortable room. The hotel was situated in a central location ideal for exploring the town. Special mention to the young lady on reception who was pleasant and friendly, despite having to undertake several other work related tasks at the same time as her role on reception.

    Parking is limited.

An Ibis like any other that I had seen in the distant past.

The beds are ridiculously uncomfortable. The wifi is only a trickle and I couldn't work.

    Location and parking

Very small room, Needs updating no facilities to make a drink in the room.

    3AnnettePosted on: 3-3-2025

    The lift

Not even a kettle in the room, the bathroom looked like a men's toilet cubicle, beyond basic

The town of Alençon is lovely & the hotel is well placed for walking to the centre. We stayed for one night on our way back to the UK from Cognac. The hotel was clean & the staff friendly. The bar area is cozy & offers great snacks.

Main bugbear - no facilities in the room for making a hot drink - so we went and bought a kettle!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!!

Room was freezing when we arrived but it soon warmed up when we turned heating on.

The comfortable reliability of IBIS in a location with easy access to the old medieval centre of Alencon.

We were allocated a room that had been smoked in by the previous occupant. On returning to reception, the receptionist was occupied on the phone and seemed reluctant to move us. She did, eventually, but without apology!

Good hotel with easy walking access to town.

Bar next door was lovely till 2am so had to keep the window closed. No fault of the hotel but worth mentioning.

Room comfortable and lovely hot water for showers. Location perfect as quite near the town centre but without being noisy. Breakfast great as Gluten free catered for 100% gorgeous little sesame seed rolls plus cakes.❤️

Good location. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and lovely staff.

Decor very dated, no air con, and very lumpy pillows.

The bed was very comfortable and the room (including the bathroom) was very clean and well laid out. The location of this hotel is excellent, with a short but pleasant walk (mostly flat with a couple of gentle inclines for those with mobility issues) into the central shopping and entertainment area, which is teaming with eateries and shops. The breakfast was excellent with an extensive range of very fresh produce, including rich coffee and lovely bread. The parking outside was easy to access and not too expensive. A supper recommendation would be La Reserve on the same street - truly wonderful food and a very warm welcome from the staff.

Well located with free parking in front ( weekends only)Near the historic centre.

We both had a great sleep, very comfortable bed

Watch put in the shower as no door so make sure you point the shower head in the right direction ......

    8NeillPosted on: 7-21-2024

    Very good

Noisy town centre on a Friday night. Not the hotels fault, but I didn’t sleep well

Location to centre of town, parking outside although on meter. Reception staff was very helpful
