B&B HOTEL Rennes Sud Chantepie

Very convenient location for an overnight stop from Cherbourg, just 2 hours. The manager was very welcoming, there was food available in the small restaurant, microwaved but tasty and a large selection. I had salmon rillettes and a duck cassoulet. Very welcome after a long day of traveling, good value for money, two courses 17 euros. And a very drinkable half bottle of wine.

Concrete outside corridors as it was cold were not welcome. The room was basic but adequate, perfect for overnight stop.

Travelling with an electric car is a big plus in this hotel. The EV facilities are a big plus because the chargers were new. You can leave your car for an overnight charging which by morning it is ready for another long drive.

A notice board with instructions on what to do during check-in would be helpful. It would make the check-in process faster for everyone. It could have help especially for those who are arriving late.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived at the latest hour for breakfast and supplies were low and a staff member asked if we wanted more croissants he was ready to run to the bakery shop to get more - dedication! …we were fine there were lots of other options available to us :)

Didn’t like at all

Number 24 smelled like cigarettes a lot, I couldn’t sleep at all with the smell of cigarettes on the mattress! Very bad! When I opened the bad there was a small cockroach there

The bed was comfortable, there was hot water, AC and working WiFi. The room was pretty standard, ok for a short stay but not for a longer one. The staff was nice, they provided me a heater free of charge as the room was a bit cold. Far from the city center, but has a bus station at a 10-minute walk distance.

I did not like the fact that the room was outside of the main building, anyone could have walked up to the room (a thing that wasn't mentioned when I did the booking). There were some insects in the room (the ones such as butterflies and bugs from the outside).

Rooms unkempt. Not ready, half eaten pizzas left in room. Beds unmade and places generally smelly and dirty.

I was on time at 14hr. But room delivered on time by machine and one of rooms 1is not cleaned. And they give us on15. Hr. So one our late and that was children room our children not happy with that.

The hotel is quiet and clean and perfect for an overnight stay on way to cherbourg for boat

No facilities in room ie a kettle to make a cup of tea

A nightmare

Property looked nothing like the photosRooms and hotel were filthy Hairs in the bed, dirt over the room.

- Comfortable bed

- The room was very smelly - Was full of ants - No space in bathroom to put your stuff - The cleaning lady came into the room while we were asleep

personally i think that maintainance is the biggest thing B&B should focus on as staff and bed are great. I use the B&B each time i travel and i keep coming to B&B because they are well located and the beds are confortable.

Clean and pratical

Ask reception for a taxi. Next minute a friend of hers turned up wanting to charge us 20 euros each way to go 1.9km. Ruined the stay

Cheap and cheerful. Stayed one night and all.good. Comfy bed and nice clean bathroom

No air rewewal in the bathroom, no noise insulation in the room .

The neighborhood was pretty close to markets and places to eat.

Everything. This hotel is terrible. The picture makes it seem like it is a spacious room, but it is not at all. We barely had room to walk. It is not the cleanest and not well kept. We were going to cancel the other 2 nights we had reserved and find another hotel, but the guy working at the front desk was rude. We decided to stay and not waste time looking for another place since our itinerary was tight.
