Pros +
- The room was very large and the location was fantastic: just across the road from the train station. We saw the hotel as soon as we came out of the station.
- Its a wonderful experience. The hotel location is good, room was clean and hotel staff's behaviour was so nice. For a short trip I think its a perfect location to stay at Rennes.
- Ideal location for travellers. Lots of restaurants/ supermarkets near by.
Cons -
- We were in a room where the WiFi did not work AT ALL at any point in our stay (the hotel staff could not move us because there were no free rooms, and told us we were "just unlucky"). We would attempt to connect and get 1 bar of signal on which no web page at all loaded, and then even that would disappear entirely. The entryway had a light that was activated by a motion sensor but it was a very short time limit and turned off in less than 5 seconds, so putting on/taking off shoes was more of a chore than usual. It wasn't even enough time to lock and unlock the door! The breakfast was disappointing for the price: €10,5 for overripe (black) bananas, cheese and ham, very minimal bread, and yoghurt. Not even drinking water was available at the breakfast buffet, and the milk from the coffee machine tasted strange.
- Nothing to say much. :)
- Shower head was broken, coffee machine didn't work properly, non reusable cups.

+ In terms of logistics, the hotel location cannot be more perfect as it is just in front of the metro exit connecting with St Jacques Gaite station to get to/from the airport+ Good amount of restaurants, creperies and boulangeries around the hotel + Nearest supermarket was a 10mins walk via Rue Jan Janvier+ Very good breakfast and its price was more convenient than having it at any street cafe+ Whoever was in the reception the person was always welcoming, smiling and being helpful+ Lift is available if you are carrying heavy luggageNEUTRAL* Getting to the historical centre is a 20min walk (if you walk fast)
- Our bathroom had a bit of black mold around the ceiling due an inefficient extractor fan- The capsule coffee machine was broken and nobody seems to bother in replacing/fixing it- The noise coming from the HVAC system (our room window was facing to) was insufferable making our sleep a torture
This is a lovely traditional French hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. It is perfectly located for a late arrival or early departure by train, and an easy pleasant walk to the pretty historic centre of Rennes.
Not really negatives, given the excellent value for money and charm but the decor is reasonably basic and a little old fashioned, deadlock keys for the rooms (much easier than a scan card, but means you need to keep an eye on where you keep it - as you need it to leave the room).
Having the breakfast even earlier than 6 AM was very appricable, I could grab some food before taking the first train at 6.30 AM at the station. The hotel is very well located in front of the train station. Teh staff is nice and the breakfast is good. The hotel is comfortable and present a very good value for the price.
There is nothing to dislike. It's a very decent hotel and it has a good value for a one night stay on a travel.
Location, and cleanliness
Having to hand the key in every time we exit
Proximity to the train station
Size of the bed. I didn’t like being in an handicapped room, I didn’t request it and I was not offered with the choice.
Hotel was situated perfectly. Nice room. Comfortable bed, staff excellent very welcoming.
Great location and the room was comfy and spotless. Second time I have stayed here and I would definitely stay again!
Location is perfect u can see this hotel from RENNES CENTER bus and train stion THE RECEPTION IS HELPFUL FRIENDLY we are happy in your place
The Iranian reception girl treated us with free coffee as the coffee machine in our room didn't work, a big thanks to her! Great location, just outside the train station, quite an advantage if you're going to travel around.
Very clean, well situated, staffed and located at a fair price. Many wonderful eateries on doorstep and a few minutes walk from the station.
Perfect location close to Rennes station. Staffs are very nice and easy to communicate.
No aircon in rooms, so need to open the window when it is hot.
Location directly next to station. Short walk to city center.
Room was small and dark, did have another expression from the pictures. All in all okay for one night.
I stayed only one night. The staff were super friendly and the room was very clean
The position.
Warmest room ever. I tried to turn on the “fan” which was absolutely awful and super noisy, impossible to sleep with that on.
Super-frirndly staff, comfortable room, great and reasonably-priced breakfast.
We were on the 1st floor, and we could not safely leave our balcony window door open overnight because it gave onto a potentially accessible area. Perhaps a safety latch could be installed? It got uncomfortably hot.⁹
The hotel is clean, well located and there is always in the reception.
The hostess was not flexible and did not want me to pay later, during the day, the tax fee. This was a problem.
The lady at reception was not friendly. The cleaning lady help us and was very polite.
The receptionist was actually rude.
