The location, cleanliness, and friendly staff.

The coffee machine in the lobby didn’t work properly when I tried to use it. Also, after cleaning the room one day, the staff placed only decaf coffee tablets for the coffee machine.

Great breakfast, very comfy beds. Really helpful staff.

There wasn’t a restaurant but we knew that and were happy to eat out.

The building is aging, particularly the tile warming compliance in the bathroom. The drywall was loose and it almost fell.

Very helpful and friendly staff, spacious and comfortable room, good centric and surprisingly quiet location , about 10 minutes walk to the historic centre (the parliament). Easily accessible underground parking, our 4.7m long SUV fit with no problem.

The hotel could have warned us that on the day of our arrival the centre of Rennes (including the hotel) would not be accessible by car till 7 pm. due to the sport events.

Breakfast was very good. The location on the middle of the city was excellent. A good starting point for shopping and walking.

I loved almost everything about this hotel. It was comfy, quiet and in a good location.

There was only one blanket and it was a super thick and warm one. I could not sleep comfortably temperature wise, not even cranking the AC way low. Ironically, the hotel has panels around suggesting that the temperature in summer should be 26 Celsius, but then they don't provide a thin blanket to go with that.

I was able to check in early as my room was ready which I really appreciated. The room was very clean and it was great to have a kettle in the room. The shower was also very good. The hotel was only 13 to 15 minutes from the train station and about 5 from the historic centre .Very close to the art museum.

Right in the center of the city, so many eating options nearby. We were in town for a wedding and it fulfilled everything we needed for the wedding activities. Very stress free with staff available whenever needed!

There were 2 situations that weren't 100% ideal. The first was we got coffee from the cafe in the lobby delivered to our room, my girlfriend ordered a cappuccino and the staff said there was no milk and brought her an espresso. This was hard to believe as they do breakfast service. The second was the room service after the first night. They left us with 1 towel and left a dirty cleaning rag in the room - these were very minor issues and I personally would stay there again.

We felt it was a little overpricedAir-conditioning wasn't working very well. It was on but not effective. We forgot to let reception know on checkout

The person at reception was very friendly and helpful, the beds were soft and comfy.

There are 3 Mercure hotels in Rennes with very similar names, that is very confusing when you try to find the hotel in Google maps, and even for local taxi drivers. Probably, Mercure should reconsider their naming convention for cases like this. Despite my express request to provide the room with 2 separated beds, which was confirmed by the property, we were given the room with one big bed. The room was quite OK; but after I requested to change the room, I was indeed given the room with 2 separated beds, but it was smaller and like 20 years without renovation. 19 EUR for breakfast for person is far too much for the site - we had a nice breakfast for 2 people at a local cafe for 16.50

Well I could not believe that a night porter had no access to giving me a bottle of wine around 11pm as I had to go back to room while others stayed out this was the first time this ever happened to me in France

Central situation with underground parking. Excellent breakfast which was free as we were all over 60

Bit difficult to find.

This is a hotel we have used before....and will use again. The location is perfect for meandering5 around the city centre. The rooms are a good size and there is a good choice at breakfast. The added bonus is the underground parking on site.
