Novotel SPA Rennes Centre Gare

The location was great and the room very spacious.

The pillows are not too comfortable. There are not enough energy plugs close to mirrors for appliances. The main area of opportunity of this hotel is the customer service attitude from the staff, the friendliness was just not there. We needed a taxi to get to the airport and instead of the usual service of calling them for you, they gave us a number to call…there was a fire alarm incident in which there was indeed a burnt smell, everyone went down for quite some time, we saw the staff going back and forth (no firemen which was quite odd, in countries like Austria and Germany a fire alarm is almost an immediate call to the firemen for property inspection) and when we finally were allowed back in our rooms there was no explanation about it….Going back to sleep without knowing what had happened was quite frankly unsettling.

I spent my birthday here and Zaour, who was at the reception, was very nice to me and managed with the team to help me get a surprise in the room - that was priceless! Thank you, hope to see you again!The breakfast is delicious and the room was more than we could want. :)

The room layout was excellent. Staff were extremely helpful when we arrived late in the evening, with our young toddlers. They were extremely hospitable in allowing us to sit in the restaurant and order a meal before closing. The staff were all extremely helpful in assisting us throughout our stay. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Nothing was poor in this hotel. Everything exceeded our expactations.

Location, facilities, cleanliness.

Great hotel just a few blocks from the train. Quiet location and very good sized room. Great bed and bathroom, nice big shower. Everything you would need. Very polite and helpful staff.

The location close to the station and the metro was perfect for us to see the city and do day trips by train. There were eating options near the station and it was easy to get into the old centre for dinner. The room was spacious and well designed with good storage and a nice bathroom. The room and facilities were in good condition, apart from the bed.It was a good place to stay for several days

The double bed was two singles pushed together and both felt worn out. As a double it had two hollows and a lump in the middle and was very uncomfortable.

There was no coffee in the rooms nor regular tea. We tried to use the spa/pool facilities but were not allowed were not told when checking in that you had to book a slot in advance.

During my two-night stay, the hotel lived up to its name.

However, towel replacement and cleaning were subpar.I told the front desk about the unsatisfactory part, but they dismissed it as a policy issue [poor towel replacement].

Convenient location, spacious bedroom, comfy bed and helpful friendly staff. Good breakfast. Private parking on site worthwhile.

Pool, split level room, very spacious, fridge in room. 2 Tvs, bathroom good. Robes and slippers which are great.

No air con upstairs in room… Pool availability on a booking basis is annoying however It is small so I do understand this may be why.Parking seemed awkward to book in advance, we ended up parking elsewhere and we had a disability badge so that could be a negative for some.

A fire alarm at 6 a.m caused by Someone smoking in the hotel was out of the hotel managements control ,however inadequate communication and reassurance that it was a false alarm and that it was safe to return to the bedrooms compounded and exacberated the issue.

Receptionist very miserable when I checked in, not helpful at all when I asked for directions to the parking. It wasn't stated on booking.com that you had to select time slots for the pool - not really ideal

Swimming pool and breakfast! Also very comfy beds!

Booking the pool was a bit annoying. No electric sockets near a mirror for hair styling devices.

Hotel facilities were great and slept well.

Seemed short staffed, couldn't get a drink at the bar. Parking is a challenge! Pillows are really bad.

The room, use of the pool and jacuzzi were very welcomed after a trying few days when my husband was unwell and in hospital.

We couldn't fault the hotel. They were very helpful in organising a taxi, and an ambulance for my husband.

The location was good

We booked this property solely for the fact that has a spa per the name of the property. Disappointingly enough when we asked where the spa was in the hotel we were told the Spa was covered over with plywood & artificial grass as the spa hadn’t been working for close to Two (2) years. The web site certainly doesn’t say that

Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and beds were super comfy

Great hotel. The facilities and amenities were very well served. Stuff were very helpful. Comfortable bed and good shower and air ventilation in bathroom.

Just hotel. Nice clean.Close 5 min walk to train station.
