Hotel de Champagne

Good hotel in a very central location for Champagne tasting and buying. Helpful staff.

Friendly staff at check in, location close to the centre.

Sounds from neighbouring rooms are audible but as we were only passing through, it didn’t bother us.

Centrally located in Epernay with easy access to shops & restaurants etc. very friendly and helpful staff.

Easy location, clean, comfortable -perfect

We booked a standard room which covered all basic needs. Good bed and clean room.Good breakfast and excellent location to visit Epernay and its surrounding.

Although the bath room had all what is necessary, the room could use some refurbishment

The hotel is well placed and is situated on a wide road with on-street parking as well as close proximity to other car parks. The reception is open 24 hours a day. We arrived late due to a difficulty with our car and were greeted warmly and offered a drink at the bar despite it being past 11:30 PM. The bed was clean and comfortable and the shower refreshing. The air conditioning ensured a very pleasant environment. The breakfast was also very nice and set us up for the day. I have to say how helpful the staff were with sorting out problems and offering support and their kindness and helpfulness was appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps a slightly larger croissant!

Great loaction for walking to the Champagne Houses and the city center area.

Breakfast could have more fresh options, such as not having to boil your own eggs. Boilig eggs was cool, but having scrambled option would be nice.

Balcony in superior room had a lovely view

New male staff member couldn’t tell us the difference between standard room and superior (note- superior had a balcony). Also told us we had to pay extra directly to hotel for room upgrade even though we had booked through Booking.com for superior room. Female staff were great but the new guy needs some customer service and hotel knowledge training

Quaint and French, getting tired but gracefully.

the weir gates below the hotel were open so the “river” view as if a small brook, rather than the body of water that forms when the gates are shut.

Nice location, 10 mins walk from the train station. Quite place. Nice and friendly reception team. Spacious comfortable room.

Mold in the bathroom is not acceptable.

Great location. City centre within walking distance. Many shops nearby. Parking around the corner. Breakfast was good but at peak hours had to wait for a set up table. The rooms where clean.

The rooms where nothing like in the pictures.They still had carpets and could do with a renovation. The curtain was torn and the bathtub had holes.

The tv sound was poor.

Great location v close to Place de La Republique. Good value for money. Good continental breakfast buffet. We used this as a base for a cycling holiday and the hotel staff were helpful getting us access to the garage where bikes were stored. For our stay we had access to a private foyer for our room also which was excellent as the room itself was a little small.

The sauna wasn’t working for the 4 days we stayed there. One morning the hotel had a big crowd staying and the breakfast room struggled to accommodate everyone. There was a ‘drains’ smell in our bathroom, but ok as long as you kept the window open.

Location was great. Staff were lovely and engaging.

Two single beds pushed together as matrimonial bed.Small room. Servicing was hit and miss. Tea and Coffee and toilet paper were not always replaced (had to ask).
