Pros +
- Breakfast was great bed was comfortable location was terrific very clean pool was fantastic
- The location on the marina was fantastic with 180⁰ great views across the water. The pool is really well sited and allows great views whilst cooling down. The rooms were nice and the beds REALLY comfortable. Everything was clean and polished as you'd expect for hotel such as this.
- The room and view was great.
Cons -
- School holidays too many kids around the pool area & noisy.
- I wasn't impressed with the fact you had to pay $15 AUD for parking. I'm sure virtually every single guest will be driving so everyone will have this extra cost. Yes, charge non-hotel residents due to the prime locatio but not those stating who will undoubtedly have to park there. For sone reason this really irked me.Also really struggled to find the kettle and tea/coffee which was at the back of the wardrobe. I was checking every draw and cupboard before eventually finding it. My fault but why was it hidden in the first place?
- The bedroom light did not work, and the shower tap is back to front and a long time to get hot water. At night I waited a long time for hotwater but it did not come and assumed it was broken and was forced to have a cold shower. In the morning the error was found out noting others showering would have reduced the time for hot water to get to the shower.

The bed and pool area
The room condiments and bathroom accessories were non-existent
Location was great, room was clean but average, AC rattled all night, unable to use the remote control as it was broken, just an ok stay and nothing else
The room definitely need an upgrade. I don’t think the rooms have been upgraded for a while. Lights are shabby carpet in the rooms. it definitely needs to be modernised in the rooms. I think if you’re going to charge those prizes five star they should spend some money on the hotel.
Also paying for parking $15 a day it’s a bit over the top the Restaurant needs an upgrade as well. Food was not good for me. Menu very boring. Not enough to choose from seafood is not fresh frozen prawns if they can’t do fresh seafood in Port Macquarie they should take it off the menu
Brand new hotel.
The menu in The restaurant. It was a bit difficult Early check out
The beds are super amazing the view is awesome and the place is so tidy
The presentation was very good
We were put in a disabled unit. Water came right across the floor when showering. I had to mop it up so we didn’t hv to walk through water. We had to pay for parking.
location. Pool
room was basic not a picture or decoration in the room- for $323 for the room... and PARKING!! what really made me grumpy was the $15.00 charge for OUTDOOR parking which used to be free. WHY?? when i enquired at the desk I was informed that the parking area was owned by a different company. Not my problem.I was en route to the Gold Coast and had booked to stay there on my way back- changed to the Waters Edge- room about the same standard- free parking and half the price.
Pool, spa, and views.
Very modern and clean, everything brand new and great design
Room, Pool, Dining.
Toilet / Bathroom a bit too small.
the room was good the king bed was excellent giving us a good nights sleep every night. We did not use the pool but the area and seating were good. the bar and bar staff were very good.
the breakfast was far to repetitive scrambled egg every morning. the chefs special was clearly left overs from the previous day. the breakfast was advertised as available until 10.30 at 10.00 there was very little or nothing in the serving dishes then at 10.25 every thing was filled and then closed. I also objected to the parking cost for guests which if it was advertised I did not see.
Our room was cleaned to a very high standard during our stay. All of the housekeeping staff were friendly.
Front desk staff were unhelpful and couldn’t answer some simple questions regarding the area. We were just given a map, told where we were on it and told to go from there! Restaurant staff sarcastic on the verge on being rude, hence we didn’t eat there at all during our stay. Better value food within 10/20 minutes away and much friendlier
good location
staff were unhelpful, put in s room next to a wedding that was loud. Staff did not offer anything to help or compensation for the inconvenience. Staff tried to charge a credit card fee when I was paying woth EFTPOS twice in the two times we stayed.
Location and pool.
Paying for parking and felt it was overpriced.
Fantastic room with great view over pool and river. Very pleasant receptionists.
A little out of town but worth it given the view.
Plentiful car parking. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean!
Location was great
A bottle top clearly visible under a chair indicating rooms was not vacuumed. Parking for guests $15 but my guest who dined with me got free parking ?????Was charged extra for Breakfast because I did not book - not busy, plenty of tables for walk in’s … but charged extra?? These “policies” disadvantage paying guests!!! Please review as the ‘hidden’ costs incurred makes other hotels much more attractive !
