reasonably priced and in heart of town

Location was great, . Bed was comftable room was clean. Cleaning staff were very helpful when I couldnt log into my web site. . loved the caracter of the hotel, We know it is still being done up. Look forward to comeing back at a later date. It is an old hotel and needs jobs done on it,

Hard at our age getting up the stairs with our bags. Sorry there was no where on site to get a meal after a long stressful trip. Lucky I brought snacks, TV was terrible poor reception, hard when you are trying to get weather and road updates. Would of liked more info from staff when we booked in.

All the staff were very nice. Room was comfortable. Wifi was good. Nice location. Cool building, still under renovation, but it's nice and will be amazing once done. The restaurant was good too, with very friendly staff. Close to the blue springs.

Shower head is low and drained slowly.

It is an older hotel in the process of being done up.Some lovely architectural features are being saved.The restaurant was very good and stayed open for us.

Cheap and cheerful, good location for restaurants across the road. Great place to stop while travelling the North Island

We needed a stop after a long drive and this hotel is interesting with lots of potential . We had a good sleep and would love to see what the owner does to create a vintage space .

Bit dated but very clean and tidy

Shower had hair on the walls - could have scrubbed it down from the last stay

appalling accomodation not been upgraded since 1952, permanent noisy residents seem to live in the hotel it was like a nasty hostel

Staff very helpful, especially as I was a late check in. Also very clean and comfortable.

A clean and compact room with all the amenities. No aircon but the provided fan was ok and the window opened to a nice breeze.

The room was pleasant and meet our needs The bed was very comfortable the cleanliness of the room was great plus the natural breeze through the room cooled it down very quickly

A couple of things a small table with utensils a bigger bar fridge plus UHT milk instead of the powered cream for a morning drink. The drapes in the room didn’t fit the windows plus the shower curtain wasn’t installed properly. Just could make it more easier when staying overnight

Shower was blocked ,could hear people arguing. The pub down stairs was load and could here a lot through the walls.No fridge in room.No secure parking.

Bed was comfortable and that was about it.

The tv didn't receive any channels. The bed was springy and pillows bouncy. Needed a table in the room.

Reasonable place to stay for the price. Host was friendly and helpful and wanted to assist immediately with any issues I found.
