The staff and property are excellent.

It was clean. The bed was comfortable.

NOT one drop of hot water! And no apology for it. Just….oh that’s too bad. Internet was shoddy

It is situated next to the waterfront and very well priced. I loved the chairs on the stoop

The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and there were only two on the double bed. It would be good to have 2 soft and 2 firm to please most customers. There is no plug to change a phone next to the bed.

Parking can be a problem if the place is full

Location, staff, the spacious room, cafe. My wife and I felt very welcome. The staff were great. Thank you. Room 17, looking forward to regular staying once again.

Good cosy little standalone unit close to township of Whakatane which was great!Awesome shower and bathroom facilities, nice and clean and so close to the ocean. Personal car park and even had a lemon tree and deck area for us to chill. Also, loved the bed too.Aircon worked really well, loved how fast it cooled the room.TV had good channels to watch, linked to SKY.The site has one of the best Cafe's in Whakatane attached to it, serving great Coffee's and meals.

I wish the floor was carpeted, would have made the unit cosier to be honest. The design of the units are in such a way that every side of the units are exposed to people coming and going due to its Wrap Around walkway, nothing you can do about it, but it was hard to even sit on the deck area without people from the other unit walking a couple metres past you.Did not know about the BBQ area until it was too late as unit kitchens have no cooking facilities which is a shame. Had to bring to outside table and chairs inside to enjoy a private meal inside, was unsure what the plastic highchairs were for inside?

The staff were great. I spoke to them over the phone to begin with as part of the booking process and they were very helpful and cheerful. This continued once we were there, both with the motel staff and the attached cafe staff. Having the attached cafe is also great because you can get your morning coffee there and breakfast if you wish.The location was very good as we could walk to town, cross the road to the waterfront, walk to the river bar crossing etc. It was amazing listening to the bird life in the bush on the hill behind the motel.

We advised that we might be late and reception was relieved when we arrived before the deskclosed. They’d sent instructions for access which she happily deleted. Awa is always welcoming and thank goodness she gave us the usual ground floor room - too old too fat to be walking upstairs!!

I couldn’t get the remote to work but that’s probably a ‘me’ issue

Reception was friendly and welcoming. Even a personalised letter with information.

The orange netting was a little unsettling along the balcony.

Everything was perfect. Met my needs. Arrived rather late after a flight delays (3 flights).Staff had worked around the issue for me to check in comfortably. Elderly mother is in a nursing home, I was able to relax & destress after emotional visits. Was able to walk downstairs to a lovely cafe. Staff absolutely wonderful.

Micro cabin was clean and modern

Parking space for micro cabins are a bit tight

receptionist was great to deal with. Spacious rooms & Great spa bath for a nice little soak

Really comfortable bed, huge spa bath, nice toiletries, big spacious room

Room was perfect for our whanau, clean, heaps of space and the location was great. Would definitely stay again.

Wasn't happy

Room 9 sky box was sitting up on TV very high had to turn on power points which were behind TV no ventilation in room no windows to open

The location was spot on as we were on a charter for two days. Boat moored across the road

Everything was as expected, the units were spotless, spacious.

Lovely fresh clean room upstairs but with a nice outlook. Large room, and everything we needed. Very quiet.
