37 The Landing Motel

Motel was lovely and clean.

Only problem was our unit was next to the main road and we could hear traffic throughout the night as windows weren’t double glazed. We will definitely go back but will ask for a unit further away from the road.

We stayed for one night twice as part of our road trip to Gisborne. The motel rooms were like brand new, spotlessly clean and very roomy. The windows and doors are double glazed, so it was quiet despite being on a busy road. Everything we needed was available. We rate this motel as the best we have stayed in.

Next time would go for kitchen and not just kitchenette

I really like the bed and shower had great water pressure. My partner and I were really glad to find the Nespresso coffee pods in the morning for a kick start to our adventures.

Our spa bath bubbles didn't work. We tried it both on Friday night and Saturday night. We asked the Reception lady to show us instructions on Saturday morning. We did just that but the button would turn of by itself. So I could only have normal bath and not the spa option. We were in room 11.

The ants crawling on the wall by the table and TV. Then noticing ants all over the bed the next morning.However it was nice to have read the notice about the ants prior to seeing them.

Spacious and modernI've stayed at approx 10 motels in Whakatane.. I would say one of the best but...

just a few little tips to make it 10/10 motel1 Toilet paper..had 1 roll that was nearly empty and 1 full roll of toilet paper..so we ran out late at night so luckily I always bring a spare roll in my bag ..Please give at least 2 full rolls in future esp for a family of 32 not sure how old the fridge is but very noisy especially when trying to sleep.. woke me up a few times.. I guess when it's cycling?3 most motels have outside lights if you need to go into your car but there was none and it was pitch black... Also not that safe for people or theft if there is no outside lights?But I would definitely come again .. overall a great motel

The unit was central spacious clean and well equipped for a 3 day stay.

The motel had great qauality linen in the bedrooms and bathroom and was very, very clean and tidy. We couldn't fault anything. The manager greeted us on arrival and gave us milk and ice on request. We only had one night here but would definitely stay for longer next time.

Perfect location, friendly staff who offered the use of a spare park for our sons car. Beautiful clean facility with everything we could want. Delicious breakfast available too.

Location and modern and spacious

The lounge room was very spacious. Was great for a catchup with friends. Had everything we needed and was ultra clean. The beds were very comfortable. Supportive,not soft, and we all slept really well. The bedroom was spacious too. Excellent shower. We never used the spa bath.Room 7 was ultra quiet. Would definitely stay again. Was perfect.

The landing is super quiet and nice and modern. Always clean.The spa bath is huge. I didn't like the bed pillows but that's just me being a tad fussy. Recommended.

Spacious room, exceptionally clean with daily room service. Nice little kitchenette with coffee pod machine as a bonus. Bed was comfy. Staff very welcoming. Quiet and they turn the outside lights off early to avoid unnecessary light shinning into rooms.

Lightening in the room, especially bathroom was a tad dim so for those of us with poor eyesight presented a minor inconvenience. Not within walking distance of shops, so will need to drive if you want to grab food items.

Location and size of room. Facilities were great.

Everything, it was more than we expected. The room was amazing. Great size and very clean. The staff were very helpful and greeted us with a smile. I will definitely stay here again.
