Pros +
- A large and comfortable parking and a quiet atmosphere.
- Nice rooms and location and friendly staff.Free parking for our car.Good onsite restaurant.Ease of transport links.
- The accommodation is basic but very comfortable, clean and quiet. It’s a good location just across the bridge from the Chateau. The gardens are lovely. Very good value. Breakfast was good and we did have evening meal in the dining room which was fine but a bit like eating in a school canteen.
Cons -
- Feels, looks and smells institutional, reminiscent of a hospital, perhaps unsurprisingly as it is part of a very large convent. No AC (not a problem during our visit but not great in warm temperatures). Checkout at 9am is unusually early.
- A little ‘clinical’
- No tea or coffee in your room.

Quiet, 15 mins walk from central Angers, plentiful, secure and roomy parking. Very safe, gates with codes close overnight. Good shower. The surrounding area is quiet and adjacent to Balzac park.

Location. Security. Value for money
A little ‘clinical’
Very helpful staff. When there was an issue with the shower in our room, they moved us straight to another. It was very close to the city centre but easy to drive to and park. Despite this, it was very quiet at night. The restaurant was reasonably priced and the food good.
No tea or coffee in your room.
Small comfortable clean bedroom with a good size bathroom.Good choice in the restaurant for dinner, reasonably priced.Pleasant check in staff.
Spacious triple room, very quiet at night. Easy parking, we arrived fairly late but a key was left for me at reception so it was easy. The site is quite remarkable, it was nice to wander around and walk in the garden.
It's not in the middle of town but we had a car anyway. It's a bit "institutional": the kids said it looked and smelt a bit like a school or a hospital. But for one night it was fine. Breakfast was a bit thin but better than nothing.
The location is excellent. Walking distance from parks, restaurants, bikeways, the tramway and the castle. The religious history is both interesting and provides a unique, tranquil ambiance.
There wasn't air conditioning.
Excellent hotel so close to the Angers Centre by foot. Room small but comfortable bed, copious breakfast for an extra 10 Euros..
I was on the top floor and unfortunately the room was very warm as it was a really balmy evening. There was a ventilator at our disposal and that did help.
Spacious room and bathroom. Ample parking and helpful staff
Dining area but like a school canteen. Wine measures not correct
Great location close to town and big spacious room. Plenty of free car parking
Not suitable for someone on their own as big empty buildings and could be a bit spooky
As i understood, it was a hospital converted to a hotel. The good thing is that there is plenty of parking space, whereas the hotel is close to the centre. Modern decoration, very comfortable spaces i would definitely stay again.
Hotel was decent for a low cost category accommodation, without big defects. It would be good to use bleach to the toilet.
A sort of modern monastery. Great shower. Two twin beds (read first line again).Close to the centre and Angers is a nice city. Park up and walk location. Perfect
Extremely clean room. Whilst basic in terms of decor and space, it was well-specified with: phone charging points and reading lights at both sides of the bed; blackout blinds; small computer desk with good wi-fi; powerful shower; toiletries; storage space. There is a restaurant on site which caters for vegetarians as well as meat eaters, and serves an excellent buffet breakfast. The staff on reception were kind, friendly and helpful - in particular the young man who checked us in, who went above and beyond to make our stay a happy one, with recommendations of restaurants, bars and places to go.Free parking on site.
For a one night stopover, there is nothing I would have changed.
It is an old monastery-complex I guess, so it is very quiet. Bed & Shower were good. Walking distance from the centre of town. Gated parking. with codes.
Late check-in time 17:00. It was for me no problem. But if you arrive earlier, maybe they make an exception?
Set in beautiful surroundings it was very quiet despite being in a bustling area.
There’s nothing to dislike but I was disappointed that the museum was not open it was one of the reasons I chose to stay there!
This hotel was a very nice surprise. The rooms and bathrooms seem to be brand new, are modern, spotless, quiet, comfortable and have all the amenities, including bedside reading lights, outlets and USB ports, and a couple of TV channels for non-French speakers. The staff are friendly and helpful, free onsite parking is plentiful and the breakfast was generous. The location right across the bridge from the historic town center was perfect for visiting Angers, though we chose to drive into the city, rather than walk. This hotel was an excellent value.

Antoine was amazing - helping us put our bikes in a secure lock up. The room was clean and lovely bathroom too! Great breakfast for 10 E…. And good recommendation for dinner as we arrived too late for Hostellerie dinner. Mamie Fava was great!
Was all fab!
