Great staff and very helpful, we needed late checkout and they were able to accommodate that

The rooms looked like they havent been refurbished for the past 20-25 years. The room that was given on arrival looked nothing like the modern room depicted when I made the booking online. Had I known that, I would have booked a different hotel.

Good location. Clean and modern rooms. Good solid breakfast

The location is easy to find and to get in and out. It is 10-15 minutes of walk to the center. It has its own secured parking underneath (for a fee). The hotel gave us a code to enter into the garage ahead of time so we went straight to park the car and then take the elevator to the front desk for checking in. Super convenient! The room is large, with good lighting features.

The liquid soap dispenser was higher than expected. I am 1.69, for someone who is shorter it might be a problem to reach.

Extremely welcoming and friendly staff with great communication (in English), which was much appreciated due to my very poor French! The hotel reception and room was spotlessly clean. Great location, very easy to find and only a short walk from the train station.

Nothing not to like, I just wish I could have stayed longer to explore Angers.

This was our first holiday with our 7 months old baby so we were worried how he will be in a hotel room and what if he doesn't feel comfortable. But Mercure crossed all our expectations. The room was spacious with big bed, the window was big enough so the room was airy and luminous. The staffs were friendly and professional. Will definitely go back to this place again if want to have a relax trip with my family.

The Mercure is a wonderful hotel, and a great base for visiting Angers. Our room was very comfortable and spacious; the air conditioning was great, too. Parking is secure and on-site, which was much appreciated. There are a number of restaurant options nearby. I recommend the Brasserie Milord. The hotel's breakfast is excellent; there were many options, and all of it was tasty. Right next to the hotel is the wonderful Jardin des plantes d'Angers, which has plenty of trails to stroll in the evenings. It's gorgeous and serene, and the hotel looks directly over it.

The hotel's location is easy to access, but it's not super-close to the Chateau and cathedral. There is a tram station right outside the hotel that helps cut down the travel time a bit, but it's still a fair bit of walking, so just plan on that. Do NOT miss seeing the Château d'Angers! The medieval Apocalypse Tapestry demands to be seen.

The heat spoilt opportunities to get into the town.

Cynthia on réception was excellent, even taught my wife and I some French words. Cynthia deserves the highest amount of praise and was a fantastic representative for the company. We will return. Merci.

Small paper cups for tea and coffee in rooms. Hot drinks in small flimsy paper cups are not good

Very comfortable beds in a very well presented room. On site parking is a massive bonus.

Slightly old-fashioned appeal but it has been sympathetically upgraded. Very comfortable bed.
