    Pros +

    • The location on the lake is lovely. Unfortunately because of all the flooding, it was not possible to walk or cycle around the lake, but that is obviously not the hotel's fault.
    • Great location, staff really helpful. I was able to leave my car at the hotel for 10 days whilst i was cycle touring along the Loire.
    • It's in a large park with exercise facilities, etc. It feels a busy, happy place, rather like a school camp. We liked the communal facilities. We like their ethics. I like the clock in the heated towel rails.

    Cons -

    • I was expecting a sort of glorified youth hostel, and was not far wrong. I was housed in a separate building. To get to my room I had to pass through a sort of lobby where a whole group of youngsters were engaged in some sort of organised training activity, which they had to stop every time I wanted to go in or out of the building. The same youngsters were also seemingly housed in my building and were unbelievably noisy in the evening, playing horrendously loud music and generally talking very loudly in the corridor. Fortunately they shut up in good time for the night! The room was incredibly basic - two single beds, night tables and two chairs that looked like they were taken from a canteen. Hanging space in the wardrobe but absolutely no shelving or drawer space for other items of clothing. Breakfast was a joke - I never have very high hopes for breakfast in French hotels, but this was my worst experience yet. Baguette, cake, one choice of cheese, butter and jam. Undrinkable coffee, no viennoiserie. Everything was very basic, but also not very expensive. I suppose it is true that you get what you pay for. It was fine for one night, but I couldn't have stayed any longer.
    • Lack of electrical points. In our room there was only one. No tv, but we didn't need that anyway.
