Pros +
- Friendly and kind staffComfortable beds and oh the pillows!!!!
- The property was reasonably clean.
- I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A lovely family orientated holiday park. I really like the offers of staying longer for a discounted price as we utilised the deals offered.
Cons -
- The only thing that might be an extra would be a pool.
- No proper lighting in the campus. Difficult to find the rooms in the night. The pictures in the booking.com are really far away from what we actually experienced.
- not enough comfortable seating for 3 people, we all had to sit on the 1 couch, the shower had terrible pressure and had to shower over in main block

The spa and sauna was amazing, a great base for outdoor activities, the main shower block was amazing, the beds were comfortable.

amazing value, so reasonable for a 2 bedroom unit. only con, needed cabinet or storage in bathroom, only had a small basin,no hairdryer.Beds were very comfortable, large unit, handy to beachawesome playground. had 3 spa but we're not available when we stayed unfortunately. was looking forward to that. girl at reception lovely and very helpful. had cupcakes for us to celebrate mother's dayhad a lovely quiet stay, thanks so much
The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with convenient and hassle-free parking.
It was disappointing to find the new spa pools and sauna out of service, especially as they were the main reason we chose this accommodation. Additionally, a neighbouring property hosted a party with a live band. While it did finish around 11:30pm, it wasn’t ideal with a 16 month old baby. Reception was also closed when we left at 8:30am on Sunday, which I thought was a bit odd, so we left the room key in the unit. Aside from that, it was an pleasant stay.
The cabin was very spacious. Hot tubs were lovely.
The staff weren't too friendly. The cabins could do with a bit more kitchen items. Peeler, salad bowl, oven mitts, extra bowl or 2 for leftovers, etc. I asked about Pizza night and got told it was Friday, and bought some pizzas, then no pizza oven happening.
We loved how clean and tidy everything was, nice and modern furniture and appliances.Value for moneyWe loved the spa and playground. Nice hot showers too.
The spa needed a shelf to put your phone and water bottle on, perhaps a hook to hang your towels close by to getting out.The playground needs a toddler swing :)
We arrived late and we had keys and instructions left out for us . The beds were great
Dog friendly. Close to the beach and town
Advised our dog wouldn’t be allowed if he barked - a lot of barking dogs. The dump station was directly behind our room and specifically only opening windows. The smell was terrible and overwhelming. The rooms had a foul smell and was dirty especially around the front window and ranch slider. Ants in the room and not from food - through the toaster.
Facility is clean and comfy
The gate passcode get mix up. Given me the wrong passcode and cannot get out of the facility with car.
Everything was great. Cabin 21 was nice and comfortable. A kitchenette would he handy so we could make a cup of tea in the cabin
The shower pressure was terrible. Had to have an extra long shower while waiting to wash shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. I wouldn't come back if the showers continue to be of such low pressure
The villa was quite spacious.
Very Bad wifi. Has a good smart tv that you cant even use because the wifi is so bad. Room was dirty. Rubbish was left there as we arrived. Bugs everywhere. Ants crawling across floor and walls. Spiders on the carpet. Room smelled like wet dogs. The cleaning does not feel like it is done properly. Including sheets. The pools and sauna were closed under maintenance with no notice. No compensation for that.
Close to the beach, bed was very comfortable
Room didn’t smell fresh, toilet roll holder in weird position.
The location was nice
The hot bath tub was not free to access, needed to pay and book to access it. Which was quite expensive.
The staff at check in were lovely, friendly and helpful. The cost of an overnight was extremely reasonable. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. We also used the sauna, which you can reserve free of charge for an hours slot.
The bed and bedding could have been more comfortable. There was a shower curtain, rather than a screen, and evidence of considerable water damage on the wall and door causing swelling of the wood. The couch is small and not very comfortable
Wouldn’t recommend
Wasn’t as clean as I would like, internet kept stopping to the point you couldn’t watch tv, said kitchen was fully equipped- no it wasn’t, feet on the fridge had fallen off, and milk had spilled in the fridge and left to go hard and yellow.
Our mistake is that we did not know that a NZ holiday park is actually just a camping ground, fun for people who like camping, not really for us. The roof accommodation we booked was quite small (little place to put our luggage), even for two persons, and quite expensive (we paid 426 NZD for two nights for two persons, in mid February, outside holiday season) for the quality of the services received (no towels provided; shared bathroom and shower at 50 meters).
The shared bathroom was quite far away (more than 50 meters, and we were lucky to be some of the closest). We had to walk out with a flashlight at night to reach the bathroom. Also we were very disappointed by the sauna: the main advertisement picture of the holiday park shows a sauna hut that can be used at no charge: I thought it would be fun to also have a sauna to relax. However, there is only one sauna hut (that can be used for up to one hour) for a camping ground of more than 100 sites (110 on the map), so it was fully booked (even for mid-February) and I could only get one timeslot on the second day. For me, this advertisement is misleading.
Great location very close to the beach. Staff was very friendly and it was very clean.
No shower pressure, but otherwise amazing. We’ll be back. Was fantastic location and loved the community of people there.
