- Great location. Nice hotel. Staff was lovely. The little bar (with jazz music playing) was really nice.
- The location of the hotel is great, within walking distance to old town. Breakfast was 13 euros but with a good selection and got moderately busy. There's only paid parking across the street or further away in the center of town, but for the holiday weekend we were staying there, it was free overnight until 9AM so we caught a break there.
- Great stay just near the center of town. Very easy walking to everything. Very good breakfast and dinner. Well look to stay here again.
Cons -
- The old-styled elevator that's in the middle of the stairwell is really not that big - nothing to complain about but just know it's really not big.
- I would not not have wanted to walk down the street in the dark- I was here June 28 so it was bright out until 2300H
- The twin beds looked much larger and higher off of the ground in the photos.

The room was clean and quiet. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I had while hiking the Via Podiensis.
Clean and with in walking distance of most of the main sites, Great parking lot directly across the street. 12Euros for 24 Hrs

Proximité to the cathedral, a 15-min uphill walk, but enjoyable. Pretty, cobble-stone, alleys.
The breakfast was great! Very plentiful and beautifully presented in a nice atmosphere.
The twin beds looked much larger and higher off of the ground in the photos.
Location Parking across the road. Reasonable price. Large bathroom
Bed very uncomfortable. Pillows terrible.
Great location for both the town itself and the train/bus station. Nice big shower. I was over for the Roi de L'oiseau festival
Had two single beds which weren't great as I'm tall and used to a double. Kind of got around it by pushing them together but not ideal.I had a great weekend but not sleeping well took its toll a wee bit. Also staff made up the beds one day but didn't do the bathroom so I had to go down and request more toilet roll. Also I arrived at around 2pm and having messaged from the train, the hotel said the room wouldn't be ready until 4 but that I could leave my luggage and come back. That worked out OK for me as I have friends in Le Puy and know the town so went for a drink to kill time but it could be a problem for others. Also no proper cups in the room. I was going to make a lavender tea on the night before my flight but the paper cups put me off.
The room had great air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean and newly refurbished. A good central location and not far from the railway station.
Close to the centre. Friendly staff. Public car park opposite.
If was quite close to the middle of town
Parking was an issue. I used the car park opposite, but it was quite expensive
Central location with public parking opposite.Friendly and helpful staff.Comfy bed and large walk in shower.Big breakfast options.Garden at back.
Bathroom a bit small.Bedroom looked out over the main road, a bit noisy.Light by bed did not work.
We enjoyed a very comfortable 3-night stay at the Originals Bristol Hotel. From the moment we arrived we (and our dog) were made to feel extremely welcome. The staff were friendly, helpful, courteous and professional - nothing was too much trouble for them to arrange for us.We had booked the half-board (demi-pension) option, and this proved to be a very good decision - the food was delicious, with the breakfast having a wide range of self-seerve options, and the dinners a fixed price menu. The hotel is in a great location, just outside the city's ring-road system. This meant we had the best of both worlds, with all the places of interest in Le Puy being within easy walking distance, while car access and parking (we used the public car park opposite the hotel) was also very easy.In our view, the score of 7.9 is way below what we feel this hotel is worth - a score in the high 9s would be a much fairer reflection based on our experience. We would be very happy to stay at this hotel if in the area again, and would totally recommend to others looking for comfort, convenience and great value for money.
There was nothing that we disliked.
We loved our quiet room overlooking the courtyard with a big window and balcony and aircon. Lift and stairs were convenient. Staff helpful with limited English. Easy location short walk to station and main shopping strip. Brilliant laundromat in the same street which was helpful. Close to mini supermart and a fruit shop. Nice breakfast with plenty of options. Nice traditional experience.
The room was quiet, clean, very comfortable and had a great window with a view of the city. The staff was very kind and accommodating. I ate in the hotel restaurant twice and it was quite good.
As a pilgrim, it would have been nice to be a bit closer to the Cathedral.
comfort, personal, bed
bad wifi signal
Clean and tidy and secure parking for our bikes.
Restaurant wasn’t open, couldn’t even get a drink. Had to walk in a Thunderstorm to get to a decent restaurant.
It was clean and I liked the location.
The dining room wasn’t open the night I was there
Convenient , old style hotel , polite staff
We only stayed there one night, so this may not be representative, but the restaurant was completely full so we had to go find another restaurant. It is a main stage on the St Jacques compostell, so bear it in mind. There are plenty of other restaurants.
