Pros +
- The only real advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the city center and the UTMB finish line. If you’re coming specifically for the race, this location can be convenient. However, that alone doesn’t compensate for the service and facility shortcomings.
- EVERYTHING!Perfect beyond expectations. The Breakfast was an experience that I will never forget. There was a plethora of local specialties and all from farms and small producers! Such great care in the abundance variety and especially quality! From the teas selection to the jams and cheeses and so on! Plus the friendly staff would constantly replenish the supply. For example the orange juice was freshly squeezed and she would renew it all the time! Also the room was warm and the aircond was free ti be regulated which is a privilege these days in hotels! The bed was very comfortable, I slept like a log!Great place even if not in Le Puy technically it is only 5 minutes by car to the city center, plus there is a pub close by and a burger King ?
- Very good value at this price. Clean, spacious room, comfy beds.
Cons -
- I stayed at Deltour Hotel during my visit to Le Puy-en-Velay for the UTMB race. Unfortunately, my experience was below expectations in several key areas.Firstly, the room key cards malfunctioned every single day of our stay. We were forced to return to the front desk repeatedly to have them reprogrammed. This became a serious issue in the evenings, as the reception was often unattended. I personally witnessed other guests locked out of their rooms with no staff available to assist them, leading to unnecessary stress and inconvenience.Secondly, the Wi-Fi did not work for three consecutive days. This was a promised service that simply wasn’t available, and there was no communication or effort to resolve it during our stay.Breakfast and cleanliness were both average—nothing particularly bad, but certainly nothing that stood out positively either.
- Nothing at all !
- The woman in the room above us walking around in high heels. Hardly the hotel's fault, and thankfully she went to bed early.

Shower
No wifi. In an industrial area. Very basic room. No tea or milk and paper cups were provided for instant coffee, no milk
A disastrous experience!!!
So far I have used booking.com more than 300 times, because I travel all over the world for work, but what happened to me last night in this hotel is beyond common sense. After a whole day on my motorcycle, I finally arrived at the hotel at 21:10, having previously sent a message that I would be 20 minutes late. I couldn't bring the motorcycle into the hotel parking lot, so I left it on the street and went to the hotel to ask that it be opened for me. After I got to the door, I politely knocked, and the person at the reception suddenly started shouting and hysterically repeating something in French. I was shocked and lost. I couldn't say anything and then the person started swearing and saying that I'm too stupid to know how to open the hotel gate. I ended up calling the police because I was tired and needed sleep. The detective came and apparently calmed down the hysterical receptionist, promising me that he would talk to the manager. I couldn't sleep alone all night because I was afraid that she would do something to me with the motorcycle. I am asking all my biker brothers to avoid this hotel, at least while that hysterical person is there.
Spacious room, very nice staff, excellent breakfast.
The bathroom is a bit old but functional.
Modern, clean, nice garden
Average breakfast (scrambled eggs and bacon obviously from the day before …)
Very friendly and helpfull staff! Easy to get a taxi into city centre: the staff called one. Very friendly people!!
New pictures on booking.com would be nice
A large, clean room with a comfortable bed. A good breakfast. Not too far from the centre of Le Puy en Velay.
Friendly staff and secure under cover parking for our motorcycle.
The evening meal has to be pre booked and is provided by an outside caterer and reheated at the hotel.A rather strange combination of beef, pasta and what appeared to be roasted new potatoes which when first presented was not hot. A further spell in the oven (thats what we were told was the method of warming) proved to be only partially successful and led to neither meal being finished.Desert was good. The number of guests sitting in the garden while we were the only ones eating plus the fact only one other table had been set should have been a clue.Nice hotel spoilt by indifferent catering.
It was quiet and clean.. good parking.
Overnight the floor under our bed flooded. We had no apology only"oh well we have technical problems"! (A/C apparently. )Our possessions on the floor next to the bed were soaked. The receptionist just shrugged. There was no food available ...as had been indicated. These 2 factors spoilt what would have been a very acceptable visit.
Ev charging at no cost. Evening staff. Room
Disorganised breakfast. No staff
The room, good space and furniture. Parking. Garden.
Pictures looked nice but it was really a sleeping pad purpose and it wasn’t really for vacation.
Very basic, minimum.
breakfast was good. Parking was private and plenty of spaces. However the hotel is on an industrial estate and not in the town as we expected.
I had asked for an evening meal which was confirmed at 20euros each. On arrival at the hotel I was told they do not provide meals on a Sunday. When I quoted the communication, I was told I had been dealing with a computer, not a person!
The room was very spacious. The staff were very friendly.
The location was a bit far from the city center
Our room was spacious and clean, bed was large and comfortable. Shower was spacious and worked well. Staff were very good and helpful. Good breakfast. Good secure free parking. Its about a 25 minute walk into Le Puy, make sure you follow the cycle path some 200m from the hotel
Convenient to get to. Parking. Staff.
Excellent secure parking.... easy check in - check out.... v comfortable room
Clean and very good value for money. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Very happy overall.
