Wayfarer Motel

Our family apartment was adequate for five of us. Wayfarer Motel is centrally located to within walking distance to shops in town, and a short drive to the grocery store. It's also on the main route north to Cape Reinga and west to Ahipara.The pool was crystal clear and a pleasure to cool off after a day at the beach. We didn't manage to make use of the spa but used the laundry regularly.

Some of our neighbours were noisy after sundown.

Room was very clean ,spotless!!

Room was smaller than expected. Very outdated .

No Wi-Fi signal in room.No remote for the TV.No soap and shampoo in shower.

Great location. Price very affordable. It had everything we needed.

Noise - dog barked at night. While everything we needed was present there was a no-frills, no extras feel about the place. It did the job at an affordable price so no major complaints.

Was good for one night. Catered to our needs, warm, close to where we needed to be.

Property is very dated and old. Clean though.A lot of noise from street, next to and behind the building; including the units next door. Didnt feel like a safe place to stay. Looking out window at kitchen, could see next door (rubbish and old appliances). Parking was tight - people not parked in their unit spaces maybe (?) and not parked properly created less parking. It is in town though so if you want to walk to shops that's easy.

Terrible stay

The room was so filthy and smelled of B.O and curry. The dogs next door barked all night and there were no curtains on the kitchen windows to block out the street lights and the morning sun.

The room was spacious and clean.

The decor is very dated.The restaurant nearby provided loud music and customer noise until late at night.

Check in lady was very helpful and welcoming. Location was good. Breakfast was yummy. Pool was great for the kids. The room was spacious also had sky. Great kitchen facilities. Room was serviced we were busy so it was nice to come back to a clean room. Overall great place for what you paid.

The pillows weren’t great it was like I was sleeping on nothing that was it really everything else was great.

The unit was very old and tired. Needs new kitchenette and bathroom and shower.

The location was great, very busy motel so clearly popular with people. The staff were awesome and very friendly.

The stay was good the room as tired and in need of an upgrade/coat of paint. The beds were comfy but the pillows very soft. The sofa was uncomfortable to sit on. The second day we had our beds made, and towels changed but no cleaning/wiping down kitchen surfaces or vacuuming done.

Rooms were good single bed very soft and uncomfortable everything looks a little worn out mould around soap holder

It was ok , just basic , nothing special but good enough for one night en route

I have stayed here many times and have enjoyed my stay, I like the location.

I was charged a surcharge that I was not aware of and told to speak to booking.com. This was an extra a I have not had a proper explanation as to why.Although my room was cleaned, we had two more that weren't. The toilet was leaking everywhere,

Reception was good

Noisy neighbors dog barking.Not updated and not particularly clean.No aircon, fan dusty.Shower too small and shower rose too low.

Bed was comfy.

Convenient. Fit for purpose. Roomy. Like the kitchenette.

Upstairs rooms difficult to get to with heavy cases. Parking a bit squishy with other guests’ large vehicles.

Love the setting of the room. Very homely. Nice location.

Would be better if cleaned properly. Bathroom have cobwebs and spiders and bed board was very dusty.Water pressure for shower and toilet was very slow.
