- Wer often stay here as the staff are friendly and it is close to town.
- The location was not far from where I needed to be and near shops and other facilities. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.
- Good parking. Motel warm on arrival. Pleasant helpful welcome. Blankets offered for dog.
Cons -
- There is nothing I don't like but I would like to feedback that the toaster in Room 2 was not working.?
- The shower floor could have been cleaner.
- Good, thorough clean required. Litter under couch. Toilet bowl clean but toilet room needed cleaning and repair behind door. Shower needed a thorough clean, and the paint on the step deteriorated, chipped and black. No lights or switches near beds. Queen bed had seen better days with springs noticeable. Extra bedding old and tired.

The man was very helpful with making us comfortable and sorting our room.He even helped carry our bags.Nothing was a problem and he was very courteous. He allowed us to upgrade our room too.A perfect gentleman.
Location, was close to town centre
Dirty . The motel unit, was more like a kids rumpus room, it was a basement under the main house, ( on ground level)., very cold, damp smelling, maybe the dim lighting was so we couldn't see how disgusting the room was.. Cupboards needed a good clean, old food between the so called kitchen bench and fridge.( no sink in kitchenette..Having to wash cups in bathroom hand basin was no very hygienic, or convenient..the kettle only just fit in hand basin to fill it for a cup of tea... The bed was old and smelly, and had a huge sag in the middle of mattress,, ok maybe for one person, but terrible for 2, no support with the sag, made it totally uncomfortable. ..sheets were clean, but no pillow protectors on, pillows were stained and smelly,.. No electric blanket, ( stated on booking there should have been one). on bed and only one thin blanket, . I asked at reception why we didn't have electric blanket, ( i don't think his English was that good.).I told him it's middle of winter and temps were going to be in the minus over night, he gave me 2 very small extra blankets, no bed side lamps, making it very dangerous, to maneuver around in a dark room to get to the wall light switch. Lots of electrical multi boxes in use, they look unsafe..Spidewebs hanging from ceilings. . The bathroom, I don't think the shower floor has seen any cleaning products in a very long time, grime and mould everywhere, blind in bathroom covered in mould and mould spots around toilet area, the hot tap wouldn't turn off, easily and continually dripped.. No facecloths clothes provided as per photo. The so called outside seating area, with garden view was a view into a garage... We booked unit a few days in advance, money was immediately removed from my account with no forward warning, the one and only photo of the studio unit was definitely not of the unit we got.. Old and drab ok, but mould and grime not ok So why put paying guests into such a disgusting unit..
Great electric blanket, bed very comfortable. Handy having a decent kitchenette although never used it. Cheap!
Incredibly dated and clearly seen better times, although clean and had everything you needed. Shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot, so not useable really.
The room was comfortable but the fittings are very old. The room was warm with a good heater. The bathroom and kitchen are old but serviceable.
Great location and price, kitchen well equipped and plenty of blankets thanks
Uncomfortable couch and very old stove
The price was about right for the type of property it was and still close to Rangiora shops
A little bit dated
Loved the unit size, everything you need and more than enough cups etc.Bed whilst a double was very comfortable.Lounge space and furniture very functional and comfortable
Dated of course but a really good clean especially the shower would enhance the experience. A good clean of the ledges sills etc again would lift the experience. Otherwise great
the beds were very comfortable and wonderful hot water in shower. it was very basic for what we paid
the lounge sitter was like a school bus seat, very hard and no comfort. electric blanket controls were facing the wall and had to remake bed so the control cords were easily excess able beside bed. Queen size beds electric blanket only one side was working. the other sides 3 pins in the plug, one was bend and so we fixed that.On arrival the room was not aired out, every thing was damp and musty and could smell smoke.we noticed the condensation on windows in morning and if you had catches on window which were burglar proof could have left the window open.with no room service, toilet paper ran out. no tea towels, no vacuum cleaning done in the five days we were there.one light socket was broken in the lounge.
Handy location.
The place was a bit run down and a few things didn't work eg fridge but the manager had only been there a few days and he was helpful and welcomed our feedback.
not a lot
The rooms were damp, cob webs in the shower, a hole in the wall, wallpaper lifting with moisture, grounds poorly kept.
Well located for Rangiora town centreParking space was covered and clearly allocated for the room in the shared parking area. Kids small playground available (but it rained so did not use). Room was large, two bedrooms good size, separate toilet to shower was useful off the kitchen. Heat pump worked well on evening when it was colder.Other rooms I saw as we walked past looked recently decorated (wallpaper) etc so looked nice and fresh
The general level of cleanliness was disappointing - light switches had old fingerprint marks on them, mirrors had previous marks on them, we had to keep evicting spiders we found (several dead so wasn't like they had just come in!), clear up crumbs of previous food (not ours), bowls in cupboard had old food items crusted on (looked like cereal).Sadly the free tea was undrinkable - tasted like lemon dishwater (Porter teabags), the drawers had dirt marks in the bottom and the stovetop had old foil under each pan hob area which looked quite old and the scrubbing brush to do washing up needed a good clean itself! The sofa was like a hard airport seat and was unbearable and not comfy - so we often sat on the dining chairs or the floor. We went out to see family and when we came back a bedroom light was on and a door closed which we had not done yet none of the rooms had been serviced (no beds made, no more teabags etc) we could not work out why our room had been accessed as it wasn't cleaned. and bins not emptied. No clothes airer and it was a wet few days so had to improvise with an ironing board. Towels provided were very stiff and scratchy so showered at our families house and only one coat hanger provided in the wardrobes for 3 people so just ended up living out of our suitcases. In the bathroom there were several soap dispensers but not clear what was in each one, very confused!
Location -and comfortable bed.
Around Basins and taps could’ve cleaner. Heating could’ve been on since it was a cold day. However didn’t take long to warm up !
The location was good for us to visit family
Rooms were cold, no electric blankets, facility was just old and a bit run down
Bad
The smell of the property, people had obviously been smoking inside. I had to go ask for a smoke alarm as there wasn’t one.
It was warm
There were spiders and cobwebs everywhere it has mould and soap scum in the shower. There surfaces and the floor were dirty around every tap there was mildew and soap scum it needs a througher clean. I felt unwell and couldnt wait to leave.
never again, wouldn't recommend
old and dated rooms, musty smell, not enough lighting, dirty sheets which were changed
Location good and Would be fine for short stay but too expensive for what u got
Very expensive for older motel grounds not well kept
