It was very quiet and private

Although the room had a small heater it wasn't adequate given the cold winter night, and the fact that because the ceilings were so high, that's where the heat went.

Immaculately clean, friendly service and the peaceful setting.

The room is a brand new unit in the extended building block. I like the brand new setup. The bed, carpet, kitchenware, toilet are super clean and pleased to use. The Family suite is very comfortable for my family of 4.

Nice historic house for reception area.

Then you get escorted to the structure beside the house. A bit of a downer, but if they had kept “back packer” on their name then it was something we would have expected.

The old and new blend - superb! We loved the huge kitchen, so clean; the dinning room huge and clean too. Our room was in the new wing, large room with kitchenette, table and chairs. The property has old rooms too in the grand house were lovely. The best stay ever and very good value for the money.

The room and the toilets. Very Clean. Can't expect more than this. Good kitchen facilities. And helpful staff. Lovely area.

We booked a studio with private bathroom. The studio looked new or recently renovated. Was perfectly clean and got everything we needed. Fantastic!

Nice and clean, very modern, central location. No cooking facilities in the unit, but there is a shared kitchen. We were upgraded to a bigger unit, which was nice.

A really beautiful, renovated old house. The rooms are high and everything looks nice. The bathroom is small but enough. We had a fridge in our room.

I stayed in a five-person dorm room. The room was clean, a little small but sufficient. The bathrooms were shared and the kitchen well-stocked. It is located in an old charming building a few blocks from the bus stop and the center of town.

Very nice heritage home, large room with beautifully big windows that opened to let the fresh air in. Everything about this place was great. Beds were comfortable and the room was nicely decorated, very welcoming. We stayed in the hotel part but there were also hostel room options. The shared kitchen was amazing. Although we didn't use it as we were only there one night, we did go and see it and other's were making good use of it. Great value stay!

Kitchen was disorganized and knives were stored improperly which meant they were dangerously dull.Which they would invest the small price for a magnetic wall knife holder

Great clean and comfortable accomodation. Pet friendly (if agreed with host prior) which was great to be able to bring our dog.Good facilities and a unique historical property. Nothing “fancy” but clean, comfortable and a perfect location.

Door problems but apparently being addressed

We had the deluxe double-twin with shared bathroom and a balcony. A large upstairs room in the main dwelling and the only one that opens onto the balcony, which we enjoyed. The location is central Westport and a walk from down town shops.

Beautifully renovated old home with modern facilities. Clean bunkroom and spotless bathroom . The kitchen is spacious with oodles of cooking utensils, crockery and glassware.

Beautiful house, I loved that the dorm was a separate building. Very clean, great facilities and the lounge areas and garden were lovely spaces. Close to the CBD and bus stop for Christchurch.
