Awful experience with manager that stole items from room . Other manager abusive. They charged us for 2 nights and we only got the room for 1 night

    Don’t go there

Accommodated our family of 4 well, and had 2 spare bunk beds.left.We had the kitchenette unit which had the specifics.Value for money. We arrived outside of hrs and directions to open unit were easy to follow as per the emailed information. Will stay here again, close to ferry terminal.

It didn't have a bathroom in this unit but the bathroom facilities were right next door so we didn't have far to walk.

A wee hidden gem in Picton. I drove past it before I found it. The cabin was comfy. The bathroom facilities were superb. The kitchen was clean and had everything you wanted, though the cutlery was at a premium (not much there), so its definitely first in first eating with utensils. Bonnie was very helpful and friendly.

Parking was a bit tight for my SUV, but with a bit of squeezing I managed to get the nose tucked in sufficiently that it would not get swiped by cabin folk above my cabin. Roadside signage was hard to see, especially in a South Island dusk.

Tha location of the cabin I was in was excellent. Quiet and no traffic going past. Everything very clean and tidy. Excellent lighting in bathroom and toilets. Close to two walks.

Need to have a lamp for reading in the cabin.

Car parks for basic cabins right in front of door wonderful, but are small. Keep it in mind if you are in a 4wd or larger vehicle.

    Clean and close to everything

    Need more lights at night

The location is amazing, I stayed in one private room with kitchenette and bathroom. Kitchenette is well equipped.Bed comfortable and very good shower. Quiet during the night. Zero problems. Highly recommend.

    6LeeannePosted on: 4-22-2025

    The beds were comfortable.

The room was way too small to have a double bed and a single bed in it. When I tried to use the oven in the kitchen the door couldn’t close enough for the oven to heat. The same with the small table top oven. On our last night I went over to use the barbecue. It was dark and the lighting was so bad I had to use my torch light. The barbecue top was black. I used the scraper and heaps of paper towels to try to clean it. We couldn’t eat some of the food as it had soaked up the black from the tray. In general everything is starting to look old and uncared for

It’s only couple of minutes from Picton ferry by car

There wasn’t a trash can in the bathroom and the bathroom and bedroom was quite small

We enjoyed a comfortable stay for a short family break. Kids loved the playground and games room. Really nice walk through the marina to town.

Minor things- hooks and ladders in the bunks might be a good addition.

    10RobertPosted on: 4-18-2025

Short and lovely walk to town via the marina and footbridge. Excellent facilities all round, super clean and well cared for with lovely staff. Brilliant camp kitchen and TV room.

Bed was comfy and clean but way too soft for me.

    7MichellePosted on: 4-18-2025

    Comfy beds and spacious cabins

Unfortunately, the pool and spa were out of use, and this was the selling point for our stay.

    10CmnderrPosted on: 4-17-2025

Ease of check in. Parking right out in front of our room & comfortable beds. All ideal on a short notice stay.

    9NataliePosted on: 4-16-2025

Stayed in cabin that used shared bathroom and kitchen facilities clean.Spotlessly clean and central location with a four min drive to ferry for early departure . Would stay again and staff super polite and helpful.
