Picton Accommodation Gateway Motel

Great location. Comfy bed. Quiet at night.

No A/C. It's needed at night in summer. We made do. Thought couch pulled into a bed. It did not. Was a short loveseat. We'd needed 2 beds. Otherwise, good place to stay.

Warm, very comfortable bed, location for walking everywhere we needed to go.

Shower. Getting out was a wee mission.

The location was amazing, you don't need a car to get around. Shower pressure was good.

The heater didn't work, it was very noisy in the evening as our room was over a shop. The internet was very slow.Staff were pleasant on arrival, but not so pleasant when we had questions eg. about the tv, washing machine. Price wasn't what we thought.

Wifi spotty. If you need wifi after 6pm good luck. Very very slow. Beds were very old beds. Canted and you could feel the springs. Worst bed I've slept in ever. Kitchen was extremely old. Cabinets and appliances included. Place needs updating!

Location right in town is great. Staff helpful and friendly. Great bed, very clean.

we have stayed here before. lovely hosts. easy check in. were given two rooms with beautiful views overlooking the township and the beautiful backdrop of Picton hills in the distance.Clean and tidy.We left early to catch the ferry. Will stay again for comfort location ad friendliness of the hosts.

Nothing. we are getting older so stairs are always a challenge, but once we saw the nice view we were given it didnt seem to matter, lots of ground floor units though so not a problem

Liked the location and cleanliness.

The design of the shower is uncomfortable. People of average height cannot use the shower as it is difficult to climb into the cubible.

Centre location, size ( 2 of us in a 2 room / sleeps 4), car parking, facilities to eat in. Friendly staff. On bank holiday.

Unit 12 upstairs - Convenient location on High Street with shops and food in close vicinity. Room was clean but no air con for a warm day.

Bed was atrocious. Hard wire edges and roll to the middle didn't make for a restful night's sleep. High step up into shower. No comfortable seating/couch, just an outdoor setting table and 2 chairs. No insect screens to windows had to be closed at night to stop bugs

Right in the heart of Picton! Close to everything- clean and comfortable room.

Tight restrictions on checkout by 10- NO EXTENSIONS.

To noisy off the main street. And from the public toilets.Did not like the setup for kitchenette .And we had no sink etc to use. Had to use bathroom

Spotlessly clean, fantastic location, and fabulous service. I had a wonderful stay and value for money was my priority as I stayed for 5 nights.

It is an older venue, could do with a shooshing up. The bed was not the worst I have slept in, perhaps a topper pad would make a world of difference. Absolutely not enough to put me off, I would recommend if you want value.

It is very handy to all amenities and l felt really safe walking from the interislander and it only took a few minutes.

Absolutely nothing

Location was great and staff friendly.

Bathroom wasn't great. Quite a large step in/out of the shower and tiles slippery. Fan didn't remove the steam either. Note on the kitchen wall that a $50 fee will be charged if kitchen isn't left how it is found. Exposed wires on bedroom lamp, beds uncomfortable.

Convient location

The insolation of the room is bad plus the bathroom's skylight you can hear the sound from next room, rain and car driving by. The motel allow people smoke at the balcony outside of the rooms, smell coming from underneath the door, people inside the room suffering 2nd-hand smoke. Also, please take a look of attached picture of notes which is post on the pantry. It states you have to "WASH and DRY all dishes PROPERLY" is this means motel will not cleaning that? And the next person will re-use those dishes??

We stayed for just one night, but it exceeded our expectations. The room was well-equipped, especially with all the kitchenware provided — a nice surprise that made our short stay even more comfortable. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ drive to the port, which was perfect for us since we had to leave early in the morning for the ferry check-in. A very convenient and pleasant stay.
