Peaceful surroundings, friendly staff and supportive family environment.

Queen bed in room was very hard.

We stayed in the onsite caravan. The location was very close to the ferry terminal. The showers had good water pressure, facilities were very clean.

I was staying with my 17 year old son and only the main bed was made in the caravan so my son slept on the couch with a blanket off the bed.

Room was well prepared, clean and comfy bed.

Breakfast could be better if more varieties of pastries available

I loved the character of the place - funny. We loved the hot tub. The books and game area was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

I’d love a gluten free option for the breakfast

when we had a confusion about the rooms when we were checking in at midnight, host showed up and resolved the issue quickly at that odd hour. so easy to access from ferry terminal. so close to beautiful picton beach & mini golf course. free breakfast was great.

The promise of a breakfast. The home made cheese scones were on a first come basis and many of us that went down at 9 am had toast and jam, tea and coffee available to us. That’s it. Very disappointing.

Lovely scones for breakfast. Great, dark rooms too, especially since we arrived late off the ferry.

Fun theme, comfortable room, great shared areas, good location. Hot drinks available whenever. Breakfast with fresh scones is a nice touch!

Felt like I needed a few extra hooks in the bathroom to put all my stuff, but hardly an issue!

Fantastic stay! The location can't be beat, the room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Great value and a wonderful overall experience—highly recommend!

Facilities like bath towel, napkins, shower gel, body soap, heater ,fan, tv ,coffee-tea,personal fridge, free breakfast provide.thats much more than expectations. Very friendly and polite staff.Neat and clean rooms and bathroom, white linens on beds , few pillows, free hot pool. We were family of three adult and child occupied this family room .perfect for those who looking for economic.

Except that the location was beside a steep slope cemetery, if you dun mind, this place is fantastic!

Nice atmosphere and clean shared facilities

The caravan smelled old and moldy. It was clean, but no matter how much I aired out the smell didn’t go away.

Not far from the town centre and view on the port of Picton.

Little room, it's look like you are sleeping next to the door.

The spa!!! After 5 days of trampling, sitting in the spa was amazing. The room and bedding was very upmarket. Spotless. New tiled bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen and it was all clean!

The nose- the location was great- close and central- but the port noise all night long was annoying. Constant diesel trucks etc.

Hostel rooms are adequate for a short stay. No secure storage. Easy walking distance from the ferry but no footpath and a slight uphill to reach the entrance.

Wow....for a 2-star this place really rocks!! If you want comfortable, with treasured details, then this place is awesome!!! Freshly baked scones with jam in the mornings. Cosy shared lounges. A pool table, gym machines, dart board and table tennis on the deck. And a spa that over looks the picton Harbour!!! This place is a wee gem ?

To be honest, this place exceeded my expectations. 1 of our beds was a little firm, but I swapped with 1 of the kids and it was fine.

The family rooms with ensuite are ideal for a family of 4. Having a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room was a really nice addition. The kids enjoyed the games (table tennis, pool and darts) and we all enjoyed the spa. The rooms are quiet with good bedding and heating. The shared kitchen facilities are basic but OK. The dining room and lounge are functional and the scones for breakfast included in the tariff are a bonus! And the location (right next to ferry check in) couldn't be better!

The shared kitchen, dining and lounge are a bit tired. They are functional, but a coat of paint in the communal spaces and a bit of a spruce up in the kitchen wouldn't go amiss.

Love everything about it! The only place in NZ that I have stayed 3 times with. Comfy warm beds, clean facilities, owners put alot of care into the place, there's also a hot tub till 9pm. Good that everyone is respectful of the space and place is quiet after 930 10pm. Convenient to ferry departure, both Blue Bridge or InterIslander.

Nothing! We had to missed the free breakfast (starts at 8am) because we had a very early ferry departure.

Disappointing

Arrived on a horrible day and was greeted with an old cemetery across the road, which in itself is not an issue. I had a very uncomfortable vibe when I went to go to reception, and it's like a big coffin lid for a door. I didn't bother going inside,I didn't feel comfortable at all, so I drove away. The photos of the lodge do not show all that. I didn't bother staying

Gary was really friendly, accomodation close to Ferry,, nice room.
