    Pros +

    • I enjoyed a comfortable inexpensive chalet set in beautiful surroundings, surrounded by characterful farm animals. It was a wonderful stay ! Highly recommend
    • Quaint location
    • Great warm host! Welcome muffins, free sheep food to feed sheep and pigs and goats! You can get a tray of pots and plates for free. Good kitchen, good hot shower. Fireplace in the kitchen. We saw glow worms and so many stars at night! Warm in the bedroom. You do have to pay extra for bedding but it’s still a very reasonable total price.

    Cons -

    • Nothing about the stay. Just a bit far from any bigger town and windy roads.
    • The animals (sheep, pigs, and goats) seem to need a bit more of a TLC. More shelter, moving location where they can access more fresh grass, and a diet and haircut/shower (as one sheep's ear needed a bit of serious cleaning due to potential infection). They probably less food (i.e. those sheep pellets/nuts) because each guest receives one bag of sheep pellets/nuts each, and too much pellets, in aggregate, will make the animals unwell. I'd like to return to the holiday park next time and hope to see them again, more healthier!
    • We enjoyed everything.

We really enjoyed our stay, what a lovely peaceful spot you have. We enjoyed the walk to see the glow worms, and our 10 year old loved the friendly sheep, pigs and goats. The cabin was comfy and cosy and clean. Thank you for the freshly made muffins on arrival, what a treat!

This is a really nice spot to relax for a day, and take day trips to nearby towns and undertake day activities. The mini hike to the waterfall was neat. The animals are super cute and friendly.

Amazing hospitality and beautiful extra bonus of feeding the animals & the incredible waterfall was breathtaking after heavy rain! The area is completely stunning! ?

    Nothing ??

We were in a lil one bedroom cottage. It was really comfortable with a full well equipped kitchen which we used.

Lovely Farm, got a homemade banana muffin and a bag of food for the sheeps, goats and pigs when I arrived. There is a walk on the farm to a waterfall with glowworms. The accommodation was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen.

WiFi could have been a bit better.

Clean, comfortable and cosy rooms.Great value for money.Fantastic views / surroundings.Feeding the farm animals was a lot of fun.The glow worm walk was quite an adventure; my kids would have loved it when they were little./Walking around the farm.Charming country tavern / pub close by for dinner.

I didn't dislike anything. The toilet / shower facilities were a little 'rustic' (though what you would expect for the price.)

Friendly, welcoming staff. Location. Children can feed animals. Room was warm.

Nice location, but not used to its potential.

There is a sheep at the farm that needs to be either euthanized or given to the SPCA as it is so overweight from being fed sheep nuts its legs were buckling under its weight.I was raised on a farm and have seen some poor farming practices over the year since however this is definitely animal abuse and was surprised at the owners attitude towards this thinking it funny the poor animal was so fat.I do think the price for this accomodation is certainly not value for money. The rooms are pretty old and tired, and the bed not overly comfortable.

Bonus muffins on arrival a nice touch. Night walk to see the glowworms was lovely. Nice to be able to feed the animals with free food provided by the hosts.

Our stay was absolutely brilliant. Amazing location. Peaceful and stunningly beautiful. Helpful and friendly owners Chris and Barb were a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly highly recommend.

What a delightful place for a short stay. It was a beautiful, peaceful setting with all the amenities and comforts I needed. I loved being able to feed the animals and stroll through the extensive grounds, and it was also very convenient for the ferry in Picton. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay there again.

    10MarilynPosted on: 3-21-2025

Excellent, accommodating owners who thought of renters' comfort and making a memorable experience for them. They gave us a big bag of food to feed the farm animals, a map for the trail to the waterfall, offered torches for night hike to see the glow worms, a fan in the room (which is something most holiday parks do NOT provide and was much appreciated), and a large container of milk.

The bathroom sink was tiny and no place to lay toiletries or makeup.

This place is a wee hidden gem - this is our third or fourth stay here. Very handy to the ferries. Very peaceful. Always clean. Walk to the glowworms is great. Would recommend
