AAA Marlin Motel

Clean and spacious.

In 45 years of traveling, worst water pressure I have experienced. You can get wet in the shower, but it takes a very long time. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel.

Cheap and cheerful - comfortable and unpretentious.

The shower was low so hit at mid chest - but had good pressure and was nice and hot.

Very clean and well equipped. Great location, quit street and easily walkable to everything in Picton.

Staff very helpful in arranging midnight check in and allowing check out after 10am. Large room and comfortable beds. Would definitely use again if in the area.,

A lovely warm welcome and accommodating of late check out request. Easy parking outside room. The lemon tree outside my room was a bonus!

Perfect for an early morning ferry trip. Close to town. We deliberately booked a smaller unit. Whilst compact, it had everything we needed for a very short stay. We got what we paid for and would book again in similar circumstances.

Nothing to do with the.motel itself, but a punter snoring next door kept us awake for much of the night ?

As a motel this was fine, about 15 minutes walk from the city center. Helpful staff, a quiet location in a very nice small town. Local people very friendly, we were asked twice if we were lost or needed a lift. A good nights sleep,

Parking was a little tight, but they are making the best of what they've got, space-wise.

Bathroom could have done with an extractor fan and a mirror over the vanity sink… it did have a mirror but was on the wall behind so when shaving I had to keep turning around so a mirror above sink would have been far more practical. Minor problem really just a preference.

Excellent service and friendly staff, comfortable bed.

Property is a little older than photos suggest and no sound proofing, made for a disruptive stay.

We loved that it was minutes from the harbour to the motel,it was easy to check in and the staff very friendly.

I just feel that after a long trip on the boat it would be great to get in to a hot shower with pressure. The only thing I didn't like was that the shower was not up to standard.

Convenient for ferry . Everything you needed to self cater.Proprietors were very friendly and even gave us a lift to the ferry.

Location was perfect for our needs which was an early ferry to Wellington. Staff friendly and helpful

The smoke alarm went of in our room at 02.19am. No one came to see if we where all right. This alarm flashed on and off for the rest of the night.

Lovely motel situated within walking distance of the town. Nice & quiet with parking outside my door. Towels smelt fresh & clean & were supersoft.Will stay here again I'm up this way

We were greeted by a lady and a man at their reception office. The man was cheerful and friendly handling our checking ins, however I do not appreciate the lady with the condescending manner of “CHECKING OUT TOMORROW IS BEFOREEEE 10AM” like we are someone who has hearing problem (FYI, we are not local). So we did check out way before 10AM.

Quiet motel needs a refurbish. Adequate for 1 night pre ferry crossing.
