    Pros +

    • The property was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also very close to the Bluebridge ferry.
    • Location is 10 min walk to downtown Picton. The room was clean and functional. We could not find anything closer to downtown with the need of a two-bedroom apartment, so it was nice enough for a one night stay. We did not use the kitchen so cannot comment but it looked adequate.
    • Prime location: 5-minute drive from the ferry terminalLate‑night flexibility: We were able to check‑in straight after midnight after our late ferry, with staff accommodating the hour without any hassleParking in front of the accommodation

    Cons -

    • The room is a little close to the traffic and you can hear people coming in and out of their rooms from the outer bedroom. The bathroom counter is a "little" loose, so be careful there. There is not a separate shower so one has to step into the jacuzzi to take a shower.
    • The room felt a little dated, almost shabby, but it was nonetheless clean and it was spacious. There was a big window with view on the car park, but there were large curtains to hide from the people walking by.
    • Bring ear plugs, was woken up by guests arriving and leaving at all hours (typical of Picton)

Great location with good parking, easy walk into town.

The location was perfect and the rooms were huge. Everything was clean and looked newly refreshed. This is a great property for either a 1 night stay or much longer. Walking distance to everything - shops, restaurants, harbour. Lovely. Highly recommend.

    Nothing!

Very friendly/helpful staff. Big room, clean, updated bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

Beds could have been a bit softer

Room was clean and much as expected for a motel room.Lounge was comfortable.

One of our units was up a flight of stairs, and was impossible to access by one of our members. Reception was also up these stairs. Bathroom was rather cramped.

Great location, handy walking distance to the shops and restaurants - yet lovely and quiet. The bed and pillow were super comfy. Room was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

The hotel was in a good location. We stayed in two different rooms on two separate dates during our trip to New Zealand. The first time, we had a Standard King Studio on the ground level. There was outdoor seating in front of the unit, but we didn’t use it since it was right next to the parking lot. The second time, we stayed on the upper level in an Executive One-Bedroom Spa Unit. It had a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed. We enjoyed both the room and the spa bath. It was nice to be on the upper level.

Lovely view down to Picton Bay. Short walk to restaurants/cafes and ferries.

The main room was large but sparsely furnished.

    6GinaPosted on: 4-23-2025

The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed.

The kitchenette and bathroom were dated. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling, which made it feel dirty. The place was also not that full, so we didn't like being put in the first room next to reception. Resulting in every guest that arrived after us had to walk past our window to the reception,

Close to town for a short walk to restaurants and shops. Also close to ferry port.

Small “king” bed. I think South Island king beds are really queens as the next two stays also boasted king beds and were not. A bit noisy and basic for the price.

Really well located. Clean rooms with comfy beds. Perfect for a night or two.

    9SarahPosted on: 4-12-2025

Comfortable sofa for relaxing in the evening. Comfortable bed. Good size room. Convenient for the town, local walks and the ferry.

Clean, fresh and in a good location with on site parking.

    Clean, convenient location

Noisy early in the morning due to early automobiles departing

    Convenient location in central Picton

Early morning noise as folks leave for the first ferry to Wellington

Dishwasher in unit, ground floor as I use a walker. And able to watch tv in bed.

My friends found the stairs awkward with luggage. However staff assisted up and down.
