Really lovely staff, excellent location, with a fantastic view. Nice and Peaceful. Clean and tidy, very comfy beds, will definitely be back!
We stayed here on our last night on the South Island before catching the ferry to Wellington. We were pleasantly surprised -- our room had a nice view of the Waikawa Bay and the large yard in the back allows a leisurely stroll to the water. It's a nice place to relax and watch the tides and birds.
We did not have breakfast for our stay but the motel unit was exceptional, friendly owners, amazing views from all the units. Everthing was perfect for a getaway and very relaxing. Woud definitely stay again.

The scenery! It was stunning. The host, Rachel, was lovely. The unit was extremely clean and had everything you needed for a very enjoyable stay.
Bay Vista was accommodating to us for a late arrival. The room was tidy, clean and warm. We had a great sleep so we could continue on with our trip the next morning.
We can't fault the accommodation.
It's a good area and just right in front of the water. We had our inflatable boat and knowledge kids loved the experience

Large, clean apartment with fabulous view. Very peaceful and quiet despite location on major road. Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend this property and location.
No air conditioning or ceiling fans - would be advantageous to have ceiling fans in the bedrooms.
