Longbourne Lodge Motel Mosgiel

Location and accessibility is fantastic, very much appreciated the room and facilities, we had a great stay and will recommend to others where appropriate.

Great pains were made to explain the parameters of what could and couldn't be done with the dogs. Unfortunately the same level of strictness was not applied to the noisy neighbouring guests and their children. Other than that, excellent place to stay.

Quiet location in a spacious green setting. Clean and warm with a comfortable bed. Property incorporates a great dog exercise area. Our unit incorporated a car port and a full kitchen

Large room

There was loose gravel near the reception and I went over and twisted my knee. (MRI confirms complex tear of medial meniscus). I couldn’t walk. My holiday was destroyed. To make matters worse the owner texted us accusing us of taking pillows from the room! He hadn’t bothered to look under the sheets where I had used them for support for my knee!Main problem was that the motel is a long long way out of town in the middle of nowhere.

Lovely rural property nice and quiet. Well furnished warm and modern units. Awesome to be able to bring the dogs away and the property is well set up with its own down excercise area. We will definitely stay again!

Stunning location just out of town, close enough for Uber and food delivery

The owners were very welcoming and friendly!The property was spotless!Lots of tea and coffee were available and lots of milk.It was a good location and the views were beautiful!A screen was present on the patio door preventing insects from entering i.e. flies and bees.

Nice big accommodation. Bedroom, bed sitting room and bathroom. Nice grounds.

We loved the peace and tranquility at Longbourne Lodge. It is very close to the airport and Dunedin itself. Our hosts were very helpful in pointing us to the channel to view a Six Nations rugby game. Thankyou both. Highly recommend this property if yr looking for some R & R.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

I liked the space and the beds were comfy. The unit felt roomy, but the main bedroom a bit small. I loved that there was plenty of heating options and the full length mirror. I loved being able to use the guest laundry.

There's no option to alter the air conditioning unit ourselves so we couldn't get the correct temp for us. Each unit should have their own airer rack rather than having to wait on other guests to be finishing finished with the 2 for all guests, this would help to reduce the environed impact of using the dryer. The cost of using the washing machine is extreme and you can't even use your own washing liquid/ powder which isn't helpful if you have skin allergies, we still had to do hand washing in our unit for 2 of our children which was far from convenient. There were only 2 hot choc saches but many more of tea/ coffee. The toaster either seemed to only heat the bread, not toast it, or burn it, it may need replacing.

2bdrm cottage was very spacious, could easily fit 6/7 people.Location was great too - nice to be away from the busyness of city but still close enough to travel into city Hosts were very lovely, welcoming and friendly.

Th property was clean, well positioned, quiet and had everything you could possibly need. It is surrounded by natural beauty

Set in a beautiful location.The unit we stayed in was absolutely spotless. We loved everything about it. It had everything you needed, from fresh milk in the fridge to an iron.Bed was super comfy. Staff were friendly.
