Le Carline, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

Extremely friendly and helpful staff.Lovely welcoming seating area with tastefully designed interior and furniture.Rooms were well thought out and designed for comfort and practical use.

My only thought about the room would have been useful if there was a mini fridge but not crucial.

The location is excellent as my husband had tests at the CHU. The restaurant ambiance was superb after a tiring day.

Location. Staff. Good breakfast.

No criticisms at all.

The room was clean.

The bedroom was small. The shower had a half door. The location was near nothing but the highway. Staff did not go out of their way to be nice. I felt tolerated.

Location, Value for Money, WiFi, Parking and Breakfast

Friendliness of people Good value for money again restaurant

No more black tea fir breakfastRooms are small

Hard working friendly staff.Food good.

Being British would have liked a kettle in my room to make a cup of tea, coffee maker does not heat the water to boiling point.Or maybe available on request.

The breakfast was the worst we have had since being away for 4 weeks. Not enough food and variety and no English breakfast tea as I don’t drink coffee so I had to go with out. Tables with your empty plates were not cleared from the table so the dishes just piled up till you left the table.

More variety at breakfast and refill the food as it was used up. Tables cleared so you weren’t eating with dirty dishes piled on the table.

The staff was amazingly kind and helpful. The morning breakfast was great. It’s a very cozy hotel.

It’s a bit far away from the center of town

Location

I made the reservation far in advance, for 3 nights and asked for a higher floor. When we arrived we got 1st floor because the hotel was full. Getting a kettle with hot water became a problem as they were all taken! Breakfast was weak- there was not one vegetable and the baked desserts weren’t fresh.

Clean comfortable andQuiet

Perfect breakfast, very good location, parking,

Small room with very small "double bed".

Electric car charger

The food is not good quality. The ham was not fresh with bad smell and we had a diarrhea.

Nice clean room. All facilities needed. Helpful staff.

The dinner and the breakfast were excellent with many varied choices - can safely say maybe one of the best dinners we’ve had touring Normandy AND Brittany for three weeks Hence very surprising indeed. Plus very spontaneously helpful staff and that is a real plus in a hotel!

Nothing comes to mind.

Very friendly, efficient and helpful staff who helped us find the right vehicle charging point. Great dinner : generous buffet and main portions, good service and a pleasant dining room.

The hotel is in the middle of the city's hospital campus, so it is quiet. Well placed for commercial estates and for access to the road to the Channel ferry port (20 minutes by car).

Good location for access to main roads for exploring . Good tram access into town centre . Breakfast is very good .. rooms nice and clean

Restaurant was limited to dish of the day and would have liked a menu . It meant we didn’t eat there in evening

Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking & great tram link into Caen

Not straightforward to find

Very comfortable beds and pillows.

It was a walk in shower but the floor got very wet as no door. No milk or tea available in room, just coffee throughout coffee pod machine.

Clean, friendly hotel with easy access on Caen ring-road for ferry port, Normandy beaches and memorial locations. 20 minutes walk into the centre, or alternatively, two minute walk to light rail into the centre. Close to restaurants and a shopping centre with a large supermarket. Free restricted access parking. All good for what we needed.

Room was small and was a bit tight for a three-night stay, but I would stay here again.
