Hôtel La Fontaine Caen Centre

The manager was extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. He showed us our room, helped us with wi fi, and did good translating with our English. Rooms were well put together for a 2 star.

We missed our train because the manager was gone when we went to pick up our bags an hour early. We called and he came about 45 minutes later. This was terrible for our plans, but he was nice enough to reburse us for most of our stay. Class act guy

Easy check in. Good location. Helpful staff. Clean.

The owner Mathuei wad the best host. Very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great.

Very conveniently situated hotel with a very friendly and helpful proprietor and a good breakfast.

Room quite small but good for the price.

Nice location and big room. The staff was very friendly and the location was great!

No lift for carrying luggage, but otherwise fine

This was a perfect place to stay. The staff was kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Great location works for walking around the city center. I recommend it highly.

People running this hotel were so kind, friendly and welcoming. Excellent shower, nice they have a fan in the room.

Parking is a little expensive. We arrived at 19h and left at 8:30 and it was 22€

The staff is super helpful and really nice. The place is good with comfortable beds. It is nicely located, you can walk from here to many sights.

Mattheu the host was extremely helpful and pleasant. This hotel was very clean. Bed made and towels changed each day. Breakfast was great - good variety. Quiet at night.

Breakfast was exceptional, with a good variety of local products (apple juice, jam, homemade yogurt) and a really find hot drink machine that made plenty of good coffee in a variety of formats as well as hot water for tea.

Location. We like smaller hotels so that was excellent.

Was a very warm night and no fan in room. Also there were some noise late night with bars closing .

Room austere, noise in the bathroom.Lots of stairs to reach the room.

Breakfast austere.

The front desk was super nice, they took their time to have a little chat. It was very pleasant, they also upgraded our room. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms. The hotel was better than some other 'three' star hotels we had on our trip. We definitely recommend staying here. The location is in the center of Caen.

The hotel is very close to the center and the beds were pretty good. Also a very clean room. That's important.

The Internet was terrible. If you were lucky to have a connection, you'd get an unsafe connection. And the breakfast was mediocre at best. A little tiny piece of camembert for the entire party and you could break a tooth on the bread. No eggs, tasteless yoghurt, orange juice from a machine. I would only recommend this breakfast to my worst enemy.

Excellent location. Really friendly owners.

No parking at the hotel.

Breakfast was very nice. Good choices. Lovely juice and crunchy fresh bread.

Nothing . All was way better than we expected.

The owner was great. Upgraded us (not at our request) at no extra charge as he had a larger room available. Very friendly. He even helped carry our bags to our room which was very kind of him. Breakfast was simple but excellent. Hotel was incredibly quiet overnight despite it's central city location. Public parking v convenient. Everything was just great. Perfect location for a short city break.

Location was great for walking the town, bathroom good and reasonable sized room. Good breakfast and drinks available all day.

Access by car via a restricted pedestrianised area, there is public underground car parking, which was full when we arrived but available on our second drive round.

Staff were lovely. Facilities were immaculate. Great location and excellent value for money.

Booking was easy and the hotel was excellent value. I was in Caen to work and the central location was excellent. I used my room to shower and sleep and that was great. Breakfast simple and adequate. Staff very helpful and welcoming.
