Pros +
- Stayed at the Royal Level Family area. Great location for me slightly away from the main area with pool area facing the sea and close to the beach. Pools were heated. Rooms very spacious and well equipped. Opted for half board and used the nearby El Ancia restaurant several times great service although wished there were more vegan, veggie options.
- Adults breakfast area for food and pool .
- We stayed in the Royal Level, and it was an amazing experience! The rooms were exceptionally spacious and spotless, with a large terrace offering breathtaking views. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The complex is conveniently located just a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist shops and restaurants, and the promenade walk is beautiful with stunning sea views. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, and I swam in the sea every day—the water was comfortable even in late November. While the beach itself wasn’t perfect, It was still a nice yellow sandy bay. I would rate it a 7 out of 10.One of the highlights of the evenings was the live music—there was entertainment every night, creating a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere to end the day.The food in the restaurant was delicious, with a good variety of options, and I would rate it an 8 out of 10. Another fantastic touch was the complimentary drinks, including champagne, available at the reception 24/7. These thoughtful details made the experience feel extra special.I would highly recommend the Royal Level for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway,

- Wished I had asked for a room facing the pool or sea as had a room facing the road other buildings, could only see the sea by leaning over my balcony!
- No heating in room was cold .WiFi didn’t work .Housekeeping woke us up chatting away outside at about 9am .Good in area closest to us not good .We were in family royal level .Reception staff when checking in did not tell us we can use the lighthouse restaurant .Breakfast in adults area not as good choice as last year ,basic menu .
- the pillows were lumpy. the shower was Luke warm at Best. when they did move us they gave us a room opposite the kids play area!

they allowed us to move to adults only as family was so noisy. the staff were so friendly. fab spa and gym. lots to do including tennis and panel.
the pillows were lumpy. the shower was Luke warm at Best. when they did move us they gave us a room opposite the kids play area!
Quieter eating area for All Inclusive Gold.Option to eat at different locations The Mar, Adult Only Royal, , Mafasca and El ANCLAMaintenance were quick to fix the water leak from the overhead air conditioning in the lounge of the room..
We stayed in room 2204 and had to ask for the staircase lights to be put on twice. We had to use the light on our phone to walk down the stairs - dangerous. It was my wifes birthday on the 22nd November and I ordered cake. I signed a card at the concierge to accompany the cake but the the card was not with the cake. I had to phone reception to ask where the card was, they found it and brought it down to the room. Unfortunately that spoiled the surprise. The card I signed for Suggestion - It wood nice to have a food buffet at the royal level swimming pool like the one behind the bar at the main pool.
We stayed in an apartment Barceló Fuerteventura Royal Level for 3 nights in November 2024, half board. The location was great - sea view from all the rooms, as well as a balcony that overlooked the pool. We especially enjoyed eating at the nearby El Ancla restaurant on the 1st floor of the lighthouse nearby, reserved for Royal Level guests. We meant to try the other restaurants but just really enjoyed the eating experience at the lighthouse restaurant. It had great views over looking the harbour. Generally, all the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a long path right next to the sea front just outside the apartment which was great for walks. We booked a 1-bedroom apartment but was pleasantly surprised to be given a 2-bedroom apartment.
The reception was in a separate building by itself and was quite hard to find initially. We were expecting the reception to be located next to the apartments. We drove up and down a couple of times before we found it. It was obvious once we found it.Tea and coffee should be complementary as part of the evening meal buffet, not as separate items to be paid for - especially as it came from a machine nearby.
On the sea front, easy access to the beach. Various choices of restaurants, bars and pools.
Very spread out, actually different hotels, on the same road. Our outside space was straight onto the road, opposite one of the restaurants. No way would we use the outside jacuzzi bath so exposed.
Jacuzzi in the garden.Access to several services in the whole Barceló agglomerate.Good position.
The structure looks in need of some renovation/maintenance and not everything was comfortable in the apartment.Example: the water in the shower was quite cold (strange for a "royal level").So, the stay was good but not such to justify the price.
Location was excellent. The resort is well positioned to the beach, marina, shops etc. Food was also great but could offer varied options as it did feel a little repetitive. Heated pool was perfect and the staff are wonderful
The air con in our room kept setting off the electricity, so there were a couple of uncomfortable nights. Just seems like the room needed it's aircon maintained or replaced. The tiles on the swimming pool area can be slippery so have informed the concierge to add grips to steps into the bathroom to avoid slips. Both feedback was received well and hope these are addressed for future guests.
magnificient views
insufficent pool/day snack offer
Good food (Royal level), beautiful beaches, very nice Italian restaurant by the harbour, friendly staff by the pool.
No business centre at any of the 4 hotels of the resort, the kids club was very disappointing - no indoor place for activities for kids or toddlers - which would have been needed when the weather was bad. We spent one week and the weather was horrible almost the whole time - please note that it is very windy at this location. The Royal level play and pool area is very exposed to the constant wind, so people were only able to use the swimming pools and the play area a few hours a day, if it was sunny and if you got sunbeds where it was sheltered a bit.
Spacious modern suite, very comfortable and quiet. Right next to the swimming pool and across from the bar and restaurant. Huge choice of quality well presented food on the buffet. Restaurant staff so friendly and efficient, they worked so hard. Enjoyed the benefits of royal level, such as yoga classes and the spa, and also discounts on massage. Reception very helpful, especially with allowing us to stay by the pool for the afternoon after we'd checked out as we had a late flight. Amazing position on the coast with swimming in the sheltered huge bay, and enjoyed running on the coastal path.
Unfortunately the rule about not reserving sun loungers isn't enforced meaning that if you didn't get to the pool until after breakfast all the beds had towels on them but were unoccupied, sometimes until much later.Piped music at the pool is rather annoying.
Location
I had a problem with my room which I was eventually moved to another but not until the last night of my stay
Our Junior Deluxe Suite with Sea View was very comfortable and only 100 meters from the beach and a short walking distance from all we needed. You can freely choose several buffet restaurants within a walking distance to eat your breakfast and lunch/dinner (in case your reservation is half-board or all inclusive). Considering that both me and my girlfriend had back and knee pain, our king-size bed was very comfortable and we did not have any issue with it. For dinner, every night the hotel has a different offer, i.e. one night you might get a Spanish buffet and another night a Mexican buffet.
The only issue was that we rented a car inside the hotel but the responsible person did not tell us that we have to pay tax on it in addition to the original price of car rent, It was surprising to see a 20 EUR charge on our car rent at the end of our stay.
Location with see view, spacious suite/room
Small balcony, small fridge which was not cool enough.Busy breakfast room, no fresh juices, limited choice of fresh fruits
The service was great. All the staff was friendly and helpful! The waiter serving the breakfast remembered how I like the coffee and the eggs from the first day and he was bringing it every morning ? the small things, makes a difference
I enjoyed everything :) great hotel
The highlight of the hotel was the Hotel activity team. Specially thanks to (Kinga, Daniel, Camilla, Melissa and the long haired dude) at Fuerteventura Castillo. They offered the hotel's customers nice company to chat with and things to do, such as padel, beachvolley, mölkky and various programs at the pool area, etc. It was perfect because I was traveling alone but many customers seemed to enjoy spending time with them. There were many different options in the hotel's restaurants, but each restaurant had mostly the same dishes. Terra Sana restaurant had different themes for dinner such as Japanese, but this could be done with an even bigger selection. Overall it was tastefull. The breakfast served at Mafasca restaurant was good and the staff was very kind. The different pool areas were great because you could always get a sheltered place from the wind. The Gym had enough equipments and good views over the beach and ocean. It was nice to run along the beach promenade. The evening programs at the Castillo was good entertainment specially the Mongolian Legacy. The hotel as a whole was so nice that I changed the flights and stayed here for a few more days and it was worth it. The second time I got an even better room on the top floor of the Royal level, which was quiet and had a good view to the ocean.I miss this place and the kind staff already :)
The room I got the first time was on the first floor next to the walking ways so I had to keep all windows covered. If you left something sweet on the tables, the little ants came there.
Location , food
Buffet staff ignore you.
Loved the views and cold drinks in the mini bar.loved the giant TV loved little buggy ride to main hotel heated pool
Resuarant s not open early eveningtrees restricting views.
Room was great and all the restaurants were very good. Choice of food was excellent. Good location and nice part of the resort. We were able to use other Barcelo facilities within the area which was a pleasant change.
All good.
