    Pros +

    • Cyclist friendly hotel and very friendly and helpful receptionist. The location is ok considering there is a bus stop nearby.
    • Very peaceful hotel; not at all crowded. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, and facilities. Big hello to them all, especially Jaky, who is super friendly and helpful. The pool area is a decent size and beautifully landscaped. Breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of dishes. The interior of the two-story small houses was perfectly sized and well laid out. I didn't go to the beach, but went on a few trips around the area and used public transport. The bus stop is just a few minutes away. I went for a yoga faca massage, and it was just lovely! I recommend this hotel if you want some peace; it is perfect.
    • Exceptional staff and care. They offer late check out and also space room for after check out showers and clean up. Food exceeded our expectations

    Cons -

    • Half pension was not worth it. The food was the worst for the range of 3 star hotels in the area that I've tried. Somehow even simple things like an omelette tasted bad.
    • More options for vegans, plus clear labelling. Most of the staff doesn't know what exactly vegan food is. The bathroom and accessories need a bit of uplifting. I do not believe this qualifies as a 4-star hotel.
    • Location was a bit far

The hotel is very quiet and all in all very nice if you are looking to relax. The pools were amazing, fresh and clean. The duplexes were cozy and comfortable. The ladies at the reception were exceptional (!) and were able to respond to all our queries.

We had some ants in our room, which isn’t ideal, but not the end of the world. The hotel is a bit far from everything. If you don’t rent a car, you’ll end up paying for some taxis. Though, taxis around Maspalomas are quite cheap.

Accessible for transportation to outside placesGreat evening entertainment.Plenty private areas and zones on site to hang outDesk and cleaning staff very helpful and courteous

No option for take out food from restaurant when unable to have breakfast.Observed guests having sex in pool and topless around pool... no signage to prohibit these?

Very clean Peaceful location 30 min walk to beach

The stairs were a bit awkward with quite a tight turn slipped off the step twice.. make sure you hold hand rail tight TV chanels were extra ( Netflix)

Very clean with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Pool towels are also provided. Great facilities to include; balacony with table and chairs, sun loungers with each apartment, water aerobics, live music by the pool, and live music at night. Breakfast was great, which included everything from fresh fruit to hot breakfast, pancakes, and cold meats and cheese. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a nice 20-minute walk to the lighthouse, restaurants, shops, and promenade. Would stay here again.

Not bad. Good location if you have a car, 7 mins to maspalomas dunes. Clean place, nice pool. Friendly staff.

Main reception staff person was excellent, multi-lingual and professional. Breakfast was great and plentiful.

A lot of extra charges. 1hr in the sauna is a bit ridiculous and also at a charge? Staff at bar not so nice and appear to only serve 1 person at a time, so not super efficient. Can't order a glass of wine with the dinner - only bottles! Location is alright but taxis are very expensive and it's a bit of hike to get anywhere.

Breakfast was fairly good, i am coeliac and had to ask for gluten free bread but toward the end of hols it was supplied without asking. Normal breakfast was varied though.

Rooms had a bedroom and bathroom upstairs, but kettle and fridge was downstairs so a sink downstairs would have been better than running up n down stairs to fill kettle and wash up.

We have been there so relaxed and happy. It is a quiet hotel, not overcrowded. The bungalows look very private and nice. I love their garden and sunbathe terrace. The food choices were exactly enough, not too much, and not too less. The personnel were friendly and very supportive from day 1 until the end. The location takes a walk to the promenade of Meloneras about 3 km, but after all, it is good for us to walk, not just lay down sunbathing. Some people rent a bike. Others rent a car. We did rent a car via hotel for 3 days. It was a good choice, so we discovered the mountains and beautiful picturesque villages (Tejeda, Fataga, San Bartolome de Tirajana, Teror, Lanzarote and so on). I didn't expect to see all the 4 time seasons on a tiny island like Gran Canaria. It gets 5 degrees Celsius in mountains, whereas the coastline is warm between 25-30 degrees Celsius under sunlight. Amazing astonishing nature with many hiking trails. The views on the way are breathtaking.

    Beautiful pool & sun loungers.

I could hear people showering and coughing etc whilst in my room upstairs and when in the bathroom...

    A small, quiet complex.

The situation. Transportation to and from the complex was limited. The footpaths in the area were unfinished, and looked like they had been that way since the complex was built. Some bar staff unfriendly, a lady at the pool bar made us feel like she was doing us a favour by serving us.

The staff was by far the best part of our stay. Super helpful, friendly, kind and most importantly always up for a chat and give recommendations about the island. The room was very spacious for 2 people and the housekeeper always made sure the room was nice and clean. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of items. The pool bar was really nice and a variety of drinks, snacks and ice creams. Overall 10/10 and we can’t wait to come back next year

We arrived after 20.00 after travelling all day, to find our booking, they first had not seen it, until I showed them, and then they said that they had no vacant rooms. That it was the fault of the booking.com. So after 21.30 I had to start looking for another hotel

We liked Maspalomas/ Meloneras area from many perspectives, but about the hotel Los Calderones we especially liked the location in quiet area and being close enough to beach and restaurants to walk, hotel facilities and room in general, wide selection of options for breakfast, pool area, live music at the bar area every evening, BUT above all the nice and friendly and supportive personnel at the reception. Muchas gracias and we consider to return :)

Be aware of the road on the back and future development area in front of the hotel. Inside you do not see the construction area at all, so that's not a worry actually, but if you have room on the back, consider the traffic noise.

Good, small hotel. Very quiet and relaxing.

The apartment with 2 floor setting wasn’t that comfortable.
