Pros +
- excellent location. friendly staff. nice room size. basic room but effective design and layout
- Great location and views. Clean room. Quiet. Reception staff very polite and friendly.
- The room was nice, just as anticipated.
Cons -
- Breakfast was a bit limited. Deck sit out area is attractive but relatively small. Too much noise early morning from street below
- Breakfast was good but a bit chaotic!
- The fact that the desk staff told me before arriving, that while they did not have parking, they did have a spot to unload for checking in, which was not available, as it was used by a customer of the bank, and that there was lots of street parking a4vailable around the hotel. This was simply not so, as there was next to no parking available around the hotel. LBottom line, I don’t have an issue with not providing parking, however, then simply say that parking is very difficult due to the age of the old town and nature of the neighborhood. ??♂️

Great breakfast buffet! Great location for people watching, beach and Wednesday morning market at the square.
Bit noisy from the people outside and sounds from inside the building late at night.
Position. We got top floor rooms which were absolutely quiet (beside the sound of the sea, which can be very noisy, but beautiful). The staff was nice. Clean, albeit the structure is aged.
The hotel is 3 stars, and we rested in a 5-star hotel. Great view of the ocean. The hotel itself is located right in the ocean! There is also a view of the southern shore of El Medano. Leaving the hotel, you can visit many cafes, restaurants and the embankment. Sometimes they construct a stage with live music! The hotel itself has a very tasty breakfast and very friendly staff. You will be greeted like beloved relatives, the room will be cleaned qualitatively and provided with a transfer to the hotel and the airport. I recommend it to everyone!P.S. In honor of my birthday they made me a delicious dessert :)
Spotlessly clean, lovely staff, great position.
Room was nice with a city view & the hotel is next to the beach with good restaurants & bars in the vicinity. The place was neat & the reception staff was quite helpful.
Breakfast seemed a bit limited for a place like this.
location, historical aspect and breakfast
Perhaps some air conditioning
Location was great! A lot of things were within walking distance. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Excellent breakfast on the terrace overlooking the beach, great location, very nice staff.
There is no car access to the hotel, so you need to carry your luggage about 150 yards across a busy plaza.
We have stayed here for three years running and love the hotel and its location in the town. The staff are particularly friendly and polite.
Sometimes the wait at reception for service can be a little slow. The sun beds are not the most comfortable.
Great receptionists . Friendly staff, wonderful location. Good shower.
Nothing really
Breathtakingly beautiful location for swimming and seaview. The hotel, formerly a shipping dock and storage facility, is partly built on pillars into the sea (terrace) and is located in a scenic small pedestrian steet opening to the sandy beach and the main square, with lots of small shops and a variety of nice restaurants and bars looking out at the sea. I had booked a very nice superior room with balcony but with only a lateral seaview out to the beach and paid an upgrade of 20.- per night upon arrival for a spacious and beautiful deluxe front sea view room with balcony. From the large sun terrace you have direct access to the sea via a staircase into the water. Big adavantage: you can change immediately into dry clothes/swimwear at the shower on the terrace. Very good breakfast, but only untel 10am, since I love swimming before breakfast, I would have preferred 11 am. Very professional and friendly staff, very good service at the restaurant and the bar. Open air live music on Fridays. Long morning or sunset walks along the shoreline or on the wooden path above the beach (natural reserve). No cars close to the beach! El Medano is rather small, no big hotel towers, only one 4 story bigger hotel across the bay, mainly appartments. End of March was perfect, not crowded, no need for reservations at the restaurants, sea temperature 20', mostly sunny (and windy)
The shower at the terrace would need a refurbishing, and everybody swimming in the ocean would probably very much appreciate hot water (only cold water). The deluxe front rooms with balcony facing the sea are very nice, but a bit overpriced for a hotel without spa and gym...but for me the view to the open sea was worthwhile. I
Location, staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was excellent .The views from the restaurant and bar on the terrace were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Having to pay for a safe in your room. That is the only small thing .
Ok for one night. I would not have stayed for a longer period even if the situation of the hôtel is great. The breakfast was very suitable, Everything was clean
Fabulous location, beautiful hotel. Beside a beautiful beach, relaxed pedestrian area of cafés restaurants bars and shops. A few minutes from the kitesurfing beach and lovely walks.
I don’t eat breakfast but my friends did and both said it was extremely good with plenty of choice. The hotel is extremely nice, our room was very good with a lovely bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities, a small fridge and complimentary bottles of water. There are good sunbathing areas. The Terrace bar serves drinks until about 10 pm and food at lunchtime.
Arriving by car is not ideal. One cannot get near the hotel. However there is a facility to park for 20 minutes in order to unload luggage and get it to the hotel. This involves taking the luggage across the main square so it’s not ideal. Fine with a small amount of luggage. Then, trying to actually find a parking place in the town is the next hurdle to overcome. Altogether not ideal with one’s own transport.
Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food, everything was fresh. Rooms were cleaned every day. Staff were friendly.
I cannot think of anything.
It is in a great location with a terrace extending into the sea and steps down to the water - sadly, it was too rough and windy for us to swim! Breakfast was good but the restaurant wasn't open the evening we were there (Monday). The bedroom was lovely and spacious. The sun terrace was great with lovely views.
It was a little disappointing the restaurant was shut, but there were other places to eat nearby. It's a holiday 'town' so don't expect an historic area except, maybe, the fishing port bit.
