    Pros +

    • The hotel is well placed and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room was clean.
    • I stayed there five nights and had a very confortable and pleasant stay. While the room was small, it was charming, bright, very clean, and it had a lovely view of the distant hills over the roofs. The owner was welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. The hotel is well located, it is easy to walk everywhere. I would definitely come back.
    • the réception staff very helpful, we arrived 3 hrs early but they gave us our key so we could drop our bags. it is very clean and exceptionally deceptive from the outside. very clean, and room oerdect for a couplé of nights stay. We arranged breakfast when we arrived which was very good. we could have had parking at 5€ a night but found a parking place just outside,

    Cons -

    • The hotel is aging and needs redecorating, which is in progress. The toilet was in a cupboard which closed with sliding doors ie not very private, the shower was directly accessed from the room hallway, ie you got undressed in the hallway to go into the shower. The hot water took a long time to heat up.
    • The bathroom was very small but not a deal breaker.
    • getting into the parkingbis a bit tight for largeur cars and due to road system we went past and asked in the hotel whontold us how to get to it.not a dislike but the toilet, sink and shower in a very tight space.

They have two buildings… one has air conditioning and the other has internet… you can choose which building. You’re not getting both though. It was an inexpensive hotel. The man at the front desk was nice. You can walk to restaurants and stores.

Good choice at breakfast, free parking nearby.

Wifi dropped out from time to time, room was on 2nd floor across the road from reception and breakfast which might be an issue for some people.

Seems, it is very authentic - not sophisticatedly modern, but warm, comfortable and domestic place near the Old City. And the problem with late hosting was solved in a very charming way. The stuff speaks French only, but there were no critical barriers in conversation and it is the good opportunity to learn it ;-)

    Warm welcome, good food.

No door on toilet (curtain only)

We’ll located in centre of town

Rooms were very small and bare, private bathrooms were just covered with a curtain and were very small and old

The price and location. I was going to TdF stage starting in Vulcania - and this place was perfectly located. Breakfast was decent.

The hotel was ok for the 1 night.Location was good and it was literally a bed for the night before we went up to Calais for the ferry.

I left a green denim jacket in the wardrobe by mistake. I have messaged the property 3 times now about it. I offered to pay the postage to have it sent to me but I have not received an answer from them. Very disappointing !!!

very friendly hosts, room was quiet for a good nights sleep. Great evening meal in the restaurant at very reasonable price.

en-suite facilities were small , high shower tray meant it was tricky to get out the shower, toilet flushing macerators could be heard throughout the night from all of the rooms……. not good for a light sleeper.

    7DavidPosted on: 5-22-2023

Well placed, free parking, friendly staff

Couldn’t get access on arrival - needed information about registering at the cafe next door.

    8ColettePosted on: 2-25-2023

Very kind staff, who also run the restaurant next door. I recommend the restaurant : good fresh local ingredients cooked on the spot at reasonable prices.

    7DelphinePosted on: 6-14-2022

    Breakfast was great.

There was only a curtain separating the toilet from the bedroom - an unhygenic fabric one at that! I was also sad to hear how Booking.com have not been paying the hotel for the bookings - had I known I would have booked directly with the accommodation.

    9DavidPosted on: 7-2-2025

Our friendly host Ali was an absolute pleasure!Would come back again... :)Merci bien!♥️
