Mâcon Nord Hôtel

Everything, damp, cramped, awful beds past their best use by dates. The whole experience was bad. Couldn't even bring myself to shower as it felt so awful.

The hotel is located close to the motorway. It was a very cold winter's night and the hotel provided extra heating in the room. The extra heating worked well. The description of the "bathroom" is accurate: this is because the bathroom contained a bath tub as well as the usual toilet bowl and wash basin.

A door mat just inside the room would have been useful for wiping our shoes because the room opens directly to the outdoors and the ground outside was wet.

Staff were helpful

Room needed maintenance - sink didn't drain, toilet flush was dodgy, bathroom door handle broken.

The property is basic, as you’d expect for the price. But in mid winter with a tiny electric heater, the room was absolutely freezing at night and with two old blankets and no duvet we barely stayed warm enough.

Easy to find, affordable, clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

In bad need of repair. Toilet was broken so staff member had to remover cover so so we could manually operate it. Door handle to the bathroom was snapped off. Window couldn't be opened as the handle wasn't attached. No shower curtain so the bathroom floor was flooded after having a shower.

It was quiet during the night. The rooms were quite clean and the beds were comfy. Compared to the room, the bathroom seemed enormous.

The rooms were tiny and the décor wasn't great. It didn't seem like a good idea to open the windows despite the heat because they gave onto the garden - shared with every other room (it's a sort of motel). Thanksfully, there was a fan - no air conditioning.

Welcome to chaos! The Macon Hotel Nord at present has no signage! The old Fast Hotel Nord is now called Britt Hotel all with new signage! I called the hotel at 22:00 prior to my arrival to advise them of my late arrival @ 02:00! They said no issues just call us! No mention that the hotel was no longer there and it was a new hotel! I have stayed at this hotel before when it was called the Fast Hotel! I thought it has just changed name! I arrived and called the out of hours number to let me in! The receptionist informed me he would open up! I waited for 10 minutes and northing! I called them again and he said "where are you" i said "outside the hotel" then he tells me the hotel is over the road with a totally different name! My advice! Give this on a miss!

This hotel is NOT the Fasthotel Hotel. It is one close by that has taken on the name Fasthotel. The original Fasthotel has changed it's name to BRIT HOTEL. We made this mistake, to our detriment, when we arrived at what was the original Fasthotel Nord Macon.

Everything. Built as many separate, round blocks very old. Divided in 'Garden rooms'.Skirting boards around floors hanging off, wide gaps most 2 cm, which harbor crawling insects. One came crawling out as I walked past a section. Toilet with thick dark brown sediment stuck to the lining of the bowl.Old wooden double bed frame with sheet over mattress another sheet and an old thin, well used blanket, folded up, placed at the end of the bed.Other wooden furniture in the room had been partially stripped of varnish and not finished off.The walls looked hastedly painted with white paint. Main worry was what was hidden behind the skirting boards and what would come crawling out as we slept!We did leave. Reported all this to booking.com as we left.

This hotel is very old, reasonably clean.Clean sheets, very old blanket.Fornutaly I had my own bedding.

the bedsheet were not clean, there where spiders in the bed and sigarets in the room. it was not clean and it was cold and the room smeld of sigaret smoke

Got there late but rang the number and someone came and let us in within a few minutes. Close to the motorway, large carpark.

Beds were a bit hard but comfortable enough. This is motel stop over place, don't expect the Ritz !!

there is nothing wrong with the hotel. I was really surprised at how clean the room was. new floors and walls just painted. It's a really comfortable bed. parking space in front of the door. A cafe is next to the hotel where you can go for breakfast. The staff was friendly. I will definitely stay here again

this is a one-star hotel but the standard is really good. Don't expect to go to Hilton, you won't pay that price here either.

Good for a short stop and sleep while traveling but nothing more.

Beds are too hard. Fan quite loud. No AC.

Convenient. I could park my car right outside the ground floor room. Added bonus was hairdryer in the bathroom. Despite poor reviews, I found the room clean with towels and bath mat provided. It suited my needs.

The window appeared to be broken as it wouldn’t close. Although the weather had been very warm, it was quite chilly at night and there was only one blanket (with sheet) on the bed.

It's a good place to sleep if everything else is full or too expensive.

The rooms are tiny and stuffy. It was hot and the fan didn't really help to make it cooler.

Cheap & Cheerful Travel Motel.Noise from traffic may annoy some folk, but was convenient for one night to catch up on sleep.

It was what I expected for the price.
